Faced my fear - 1st time Doppler with no ultrasound standby

This whole pregnancy I have been traveling by plane to my provider for every appointment because I was too petrified to go to the clinic here because there is no ultrasound. I was not having a 16 week appointment for this reason and waiting until my anatomy scan. Well I have been feeling a UTI coming on (I get them pretty often) so I just wanted to go in and see the nurse to make sure i didn't have one. Well they had to put me in with a provider to get an RX if needed so I decided better safe than sorry. So I chugged a ton of water and went in and everything ended up being perfectly clean. Well the provider I got had been a midwife for 30 years and wanted to see how the baby was doing (cue heart attack) so I surprised myself and went for it. She was able to find the heart beat 3 times but for only a few seconds at a time because the baby was moving so much. Then after the 3rd time she looks at me and says "are you not feeling that, your whole belly is moving the baby is kicking." So as of today I still have a very active child who will not stand still for even a minute when you want it to. I cant believe I agreed to the doppler, I am still sweating but I am beyond thankful everything is still going great. 
She also said my uterus is up pretty high so my tummy is more baby than i think which was nice to hear. Thanks for listening ladies
