@raynes‌ really? An iron supplement helped that much?? What are you taking?
As I said, it's pretty relative, because I'm still tired, but I certainly don't get winded anymore.  I'm taking Feramax, which is apparently one of the best as far as avoiding constipation.  I actually haven't noticed any changes in my poop schedule (if anything it's more frequent).

My blood work when I did the GTT did show I was low on iron (well, low Ferritin results) so it was recommended by my doc.

  • Yup.  Feeling pretty crappy.  I've been having trouble sleeping and with awful heart burn every night since right before 3rd trimester started.  I swear I take TUMS every single night.

Just this weekend I've started swelling.  I don't look that huge but holy cow, it hurts.  My feet feel constantly swollen and are maybe just a little puffy.  My fingers feel like sausages even though they don't look that swollen.  I just can't wear my wedding rings anymore.  Even my lips feel a little swollen (that one worries me and I'll be asking about it at my appointment on Thursday unless it gets worse in which case I'll ask sooner).

I'm out of breath pretty much all the time which is really annoying being a nurse and in general.  My hips and back hurt.

My congestion came back with a vengeance like 2 or 3 weeks ago.

As for exercise?  Yeah, right.  I feel like an 8 hour shift on my feet however many times a week is good enough.  Sometimes I take my dog on short walks but that is about it.

I feel like a Debbie Downer but sheesh.  Shouldn't I feel this bad a month from now and not 2 months out from the due date?
We are so excited to grow our family!

  • The "bag of ass" comment made me spit coffee! Haven't heard that since bct, many years ago! At 28wks I had to take myself off the duty roster, (I'm a firefighter), and that stung. :-( I have a hard time making it full term, so I've been on light duty the whole pregnancy. I miss working out to muscle failure...
  • @Nicb13‌ @raynes‌ I have a doc appt on Monday. Def going to ask about it. Thanks!
  • Growing a baby is hard work!  Don't feel bad that you can't do everything that you were able to do earlier in your pregnancy- hauling around the extra pounds from the baby and a growing belly is difficult at times.  I definitely can relate to how you feel and try to remind myself to do as much as I can each day.  I think it is a little easier that I have a toddler and a puppy to chase so I can't avoid being somewhat active every day.  My biggest challenge is that I'm starting to dread bending over to pick stuff up and unfortunately it seems like I'm constantly needing to bend.  I know it sounds crazy, but try to enjoy being pregnant as much as you can because you will miss it once your baby arrives (trust me- it happens, even when you are miserable being pregnant).
