Cycle/month: 7/8
CD/DPO: 31/12
Timing: -1, O, +1
Testing plans: FMU on DPO14 if I can make it that far with no AF (previous LPs have been 10 days or less)
Rant/rave: Visiting my friend who just had her first kid last week. Yesterday morning I had a bit of spotting an I totally broke down crying in front of her. She asked what was wrong and I was feeling weak and sorry for myself and I told her, "we've been trying for 8 months and I think I'm getting my period and I'm so tired of trying and wanting this and it not happening no matter what I do." And my friend, who got pregnant HER FIRST MONTH, goes "well, it's not like you've been trying for that long..." I'm sorry, did you really just go there? Because you know SO MUCH about trying for that long, right? Now I wish I hadn't told her. I would take it back in a second.
TLDR: my friend who got pregnant on her first try said that my 8 months of TTC "wasn't that long" and now I view her in a totally different light. The not-very-sensitive-to-others-problems light.
CD/DPO: 73/6 or 7 (FF said 7 at first, then changed to 6)
Timing: okay, but would have been better if FF was right the first time
Testing Plans: Undecided. I would love to hold out until 17 DPO, or next Sat, but I won't last that long. Also, I am supposed to go out with a friend this weekend and I know numerous cocktails will be had. I don't fear drinking at 10 DPO, but my husband is very prickly about it and I may be forced to pee on a stick at 10 DPO just so I can drink with a clear conscience.
Teen Mom 2 is my not so secret pleasure. I am so sad Television Without Pity is no longer.
@saucyc I'm sorry you have that 'friend'. I totally get it - been there. Drink all the wine!
I would like to amend my previous post... if I can hold out until Thursday I think I will give 11 DPO a shot. Actually, I have to hold out. I have no HPTs. Dollar store trip tomorrow and FX I don't run into any one I know! The cramping is still there and I swear it feels like something is coming but there is nothing at all.
FYI: don't Google cramping and discharge at 9 DPO. "OMG that happened to me and I'm totes preggers!" I'm learning not to Google anything!
Rants/raves/phantom symptoms: Started temping late during this cycle, had a big dip and then have been up consistently until this AM when I had a slight drop(0.3degrees), but I was up and down all night and tossed and turned a lot in the last hour before I had to temp and get up. Kind of expecting AF to show this week considering that drop, and the awful stabbing pains I had this evening when I got home from work.
GTKY: Who or what are you a secret fan of? Trashy novels and 80's & 90's teen shows & movies(i.e. Pretty in Pink, Can't Hardly Wait, Clarissa Explains It All, Full House....) I actively attempt to hide this all from DH, lest he laugh uncontrollably at my inner 15 year old.
@thefrugalwife would you be more inclined to dumpster dive if you had a partner in crime? My dad used to always want to do it, but never did until he found a friend who would go with him, they had some pretty stellar finds!
Thanks ladies! It's just really starting to sink in and I'm a bit nervous, due to our previous loss. I'm calling in the morning to schedule my dr appt.
Cycle 3
CD: 45/??
Timing: I thought we did okay. But I didn't temp consistently so I don't know.
Testing plans: none
Rants//Raves: well, i started spotting this afternoon and feel AF cramping beginning so I think tomorrow will be CD1. But I am okay with that because this was my longest cycle ever and I'm relieved I won't need a medical jump start. And after 3 weeks in the "TWW" I'm ready for a do over. And next cycle I will temp every day so I will actually know when my FW is and I won't have to guess based on what an app's estimate with no temp data.
I'm a secret fan of...the Minnesota Vikings. They suck but I can't quit them.
ETA iPad won't let me start new lines. Annoying
Thanks @emilie818. I'm pretty sure that's what's going on. I have my usual AF cramps at this point, so I just would like to get on with it already and move to the next cycle!
I'm with you @AnnaTTCat32 . Just ready to start over and try again!
ETA Ugh typing on the iPad sucks.
@callybekk clearly I'm on an iPad, see wall of text 10ish posts back. I thought something was wrong with me! I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one... @AnnaTTCat32 and @SpartanChick88 thanks ladies. I know that my months of failure are nothing compared to others' years of failure, but of course that doesn't make my problems any smaller in size to me! I was so surprised that she said that. I am trying to chalk it up to new baby stupidity on her part, but goodness knows I won't be sharing deep feelings with her in the future if I'm going to be judged so hard!
Rants/raves/etc: I'm strangely okay with the fact that I am 99% sure I am out. My birthday is tomorrow and H and I are taking a two day trip, so I'm focusing on the benefits of being able to drink. I'm hoping AF holds off until Friday when we get home. Sunday is the due date of our first lost baby, and H is planting a fruit tree in the yard. I'm just feeling very peaceful about everything right now, though, even though I thought I would be in the midst of a meltdown with an empty uterus on the due date from our first loss.
Gtky: I'm not sure really. I love Taylor Swift and that's a little shameful in some circles.
@redheaded14 - Sometimes the same temp can happen. I wouldn't temp a second time, just enter what you got.
@penguinMG - Sorry about the low temps...Have been keeping the temperature lower at home recently? I'm sensitive to changes in sleeping conditions (I can't even temp on vacation because it is always off).
@dmsmith - I like taking a break from temping during the TWW too. I always over analyze changes in my temp day to day so I'd rather stop once O is confirmed.
@babynica - Not to put you on the crazy train...but when I got my BFP I actually had less symptoms than normal.
@darcypeik - As long as you aren't drinking liquids during the night, the concentration of your pee in the morning will still be pretty high even if you got up to pee once or twice. I usually try to wait at least 3-4 hours from my last time though unless I really have to go.
@greenhairedgnome - Sorry about the temp drop. FX AF holds off a little longer.
@AnnaTTCat32 - Sounds like it's just spotting before AF. Did you recently stop BCP? I see in your siggy it's been a few months since you've started trying, but looks like your first month temping so we have no reference to your normal LP length. For the first several cycles after stopping BCP I stopped several days before AF and my LP was shorter.
@thefrugalwife - ((HUGS)) Keep your head up. Hopefully the charting will help you out soon!
@pudgybunny - Maybe you should tell him....just in a nicer way?
