3 years "trying" on our own 4 Rounds of Clomid; 1 miscarriage; 1 D&C; 2 more rounds of Clomid & many tears... Baby Girl due 3/7/14, born 2/23/14 - 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and amazing
If u breast feed, have you tried nursing? That helps my baby girl feel better after her shots.
She holds her breath, and turns blue. Won't take a paci or my boob. I would love to avoid this type of response…I know it's normal for many babies, but if there is something that will lessen this distress, then I figure why not?
I agree with MrsMuq. The pain is minimal and lasts two seconds. It's not harming them. In the big picture, I imagine it can help to build some resilience, so that they understand that a little bit of pain is manageable and not the end of the world.
Honestly, I think it's a great product. The vibration and ice pack before a shot actually decrease the pain- nerve fibers can only carry so much information, so giving them additional stimulus means they don't transmit the pain message as strongly.
Also if she's turning blue, have you tried blowing in her face? That's what we do when our LO is not breathing while crying, it startles her into breathing. I understand wanting to avoid it all together though.
Re: "Buzzy" for vaccines???

tl;dr version: Meh, it's maybe better than using nothing at all, but probably isn't as magical as it is marketed as being.
