  • @AMShark, good luck with ET today.  Can't wait to see your update!!

Tonight is my last Menopur injections and then my 2nd monitoring appointment tomorrow morning.  I don't feel any different than normal and I don't feel my ovaries "working", if you know what I mean.  So I'm a
    liiiiiiiitle nervous for tomorrow's U/S.

QOTD : This is an easy one!!!  Jay Ryan from Beauty and The Beast or (and??) Paul Wesley from Vampire Diaries.  Both of them are the perfect mix of complete and absolute devotion and beautifully sexy!!

  • @AMShark Good luck today!  And good luck to @ashlee too!

My transfer got moved to Friday.  I guess since initially my lining was a little thin (it has gotten better now) and Thursday's schedule was a little tight.

QOTD:  Well, my celebrity crush is Ryan Reynolds...but I would probably be a nervous dork.  Oddly enough, I think I'd go for a funny gy like Conan O'Brien

    Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility
    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
    IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!
    Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545  -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
    Camila Josephine arrived 4/30 :)
  • @AMShark‌ Good luck with ET today :)@Buttmonkey34‌ Yay for a great day3 report! I am now 3dp5dt and just chillin like a villain..lol I feel completely "normal" so no mysterious symptoms to read into. My boobs have been sore ever since I started the Crinone (right after retrieval) so I KNOW not to read into that. Good luck to everyone in the midst of their cycle! QOTD: hmmmm, Ryan Gosling? Just cause, damn is he hot!!!

    Me: 37 | DH: 41
    TTC Since 2011 DX: Unexplained

  • Hi all!

I am home from transfer! One grade 2AB blast was transferred. There was also a 3BB in the running and a few that have not reached blast yet. They thought transferring two was not necessary due to my age and embie quality.

Beta is scheduled for 8/21, first thing in the morning.

    @AMShark‌ and @ashlee‌ Can't wait for details.

QOTD: I would sooo go on a date with Omari Hardwick from Power. That sexalicious tatt he has, coupled with a body to die for . . . le sigh . . . don't tell DH. ;;)
  • Today is my first day of stims- 225 gonal-f and 75 menopur. **can I get moved to stimming? :)** I'm nervous and excited all rolled into one! I know the first time is the hardest, so it will get easier after today.

I went out today and bought some comfy pants and 2 new dresses to wear in the next 2 weeks. I want to be as comfortable as possible!

This may sound like a strange question but can I continue to take Aleve while stimming? I have had headaches on and off the past few days and didn't think about it until today. I can always ask my nurse but thought is ask here first!

QOTD- that's a hard question! I think I would have to go with Chris Hemsworth (he plays Thor). The deep voice and accent are pretty hot! Lol

  • Waiting for my nurse to call! I hope today is the day for the trigger shot. She said it would be today or tomorrow. I had 13 follicles yesterday. I bet I'll have more today, as they keep increasing daily. The hormones were really starting to bug me last night, but i feel better this morning. Just tired of driving an hour to the hospital each morning for bloodwork/ultrasound. Today was the 5th day in a row.

@Kinderteach78~ I think you are supposed to only take Tylenol. Ask the nurse though!

  • This is a stupid question, but how do you add badges to your signature?

Today is transfer day for me.  Woo Hoo!  I'm so excited that we made it to day 5.  As of Saturday, there were 6 of 7 fertilized embyos left, and all "looked good" according to my phone conversation with the lab.  I'll post an update later today.

Went in for bloodwork and U/S this morning. My poor veins are so tired of needles, I have a giant bruise on the right arm and a smaller one on the left. It's not the nurse, she is very good and I could barely feel them early in the process. I think no matter which arm I pick on Wednesday it's going to hurt.

They want me to increase Menopur tomorrow to 2 vials (75 IU each) does that mean it's going to sting twice as much? Keeping Gonal-F at 225 and adding Ganirelix tomorrow as well. Still feeling ok, a little bloat starting and woke up with headaches the past few days.

I can manage another week of subQ shots but I am cringing at the thought of my next blood draw...
  • @heathereb23‌ Pressure to the vein for several minutes afterwards made a world of difference to me.

    @amshark @calbiz Happy ET day

@MeatandBandP I had the same situation.  I went from 2 to 6 patches.  My lining went from 5 to 9 in about 3 days.  They didn't tell me my E2 numbers, but they said they improved, as well.  We didn't do them on the booty, though...I may ask b/c I have them all on my stomach and I have to go to a beach wedding in 3 weeks.  If I'm lucky enough to have a BFN, I'd rather have patches that I can hide a little better!

ETA: I just realized I put BFN instead of BFP on my post...obviously, I don't think I'd be lucky to get a BFN ((face palm))

I had my transfer! All four embryos made is to blast. One was transferred this morning, and I just got the call that I have three frozen. I am so shocked. My doctor told me when I was stimming and showing poorer response that there would be nothing to freeze, and there was also a possibility there would be nothing to transfer. So thankful to God.

  • Oh and in case anyone was curious- I was randomly selected for regular IVF as opposed to the trial. I am doing a clinical trial. They drew my number today and I am one of the regular IVFers. The trial is for a new capsule that is approved everywhere but US. It is different in that you actually incubate the eggs and sperm inside you VS. In a lab. Interesting study with supposedly much higher success rates. My clinic has had 72% success rate so far. If you live in DFW and are interested then I can let you know details. They have 2 more trial slots available at my clinic :) it's not free but very reduced cost. Approx $4k for mine.

I started Estrace and a baby aspirin once a day on Saturday.  I go to twice a day on Wednesday. I think. :) Everything was quiet and thin at my baseline check last Friday. Lining was at 3.5 and I was spotting a slight bit after coming of BC on Saturday.

  • They put a capsule with embryos in you and then the during the ET, they remove capsule and put the chosen embryos back in you. It's all very vague because it is only a trial. They didn't have answers for my many many questions. Or they just couldn't tell me about it!

  • @heathereb23‌ Pressure to the vein for several minutes afterwards made a world of difference to me.

Thank you, I will give this a try!

  • Still in PUPO till Friday. I'm trying to prepare myself somehow if this didn't go well and we have to try again and at the same time remain positive. Ugh, c'mon Friday!

QOTD: like @gsancho‌, Ryan Renalds has been a crush of mine since the early Van Wilder days. I would be a gushing buffoon that he would probably get a restraining order on immediately following our date.

  • @canuck13 and @amshark My beta is scheduled for the 20th as well. Yay!

  • Hey all, I have ER tomorrow. I have 8 that were 14+ yesterday, a 13, 11, 10, 9 and 7. Did anyone else have the sizes of the follicles go up AND down from day to day? I had a different sonographers each time, and there seemed to be fairly wild changes depending on the day. @ktabs‌ that study you're in sounds interesting! @heathereb23‌ you can also request that they wrap you with an ace wrap, instead of the tape. It keeps pressure on it and, no tape to rip off! QOTD: am I seriously the first person to say Channing Tatum? Really?
    Yup.
  • So much Tropical Ovaries action going on! Good luck to everyone doing retrievals and transfers this week!

After 10 days of stims I have 9 follicles growing and my E2 has jumped to an impressive 925. My nurse said I should expect to trigger by the end of the week, with ER on Sunday or Monday! My lining is still thin at 3.7. No one is all that concerned, myself included. We're expecting to freeze all this cycle anyway. But I got a surprise call from my doctor, and she said a transfer is still a possibility - if they can jack me up with enough estrogen to get my lining where it needs to be. She said after ER she's going to give me pills, patches, or a combination of both to thicken up my lining. I'm cautiously optimistic about this plan, as my uterus has a history of misbehaving.

QOTD: John Krasinski. I love him so hard. :)

  • So much action on this thread!!  I love it!!

So my U/S this morning still showed 5 follicles on the right @ 10, 10, 12, 13, 14mm and the four on the left were at 10, 12, 12, 13mm.  He said that my lining was a little thin at 6.9mm (apparently it should be at least 7mm) and he gave me some tablets to take for the next 3 days (Progynova I think) to try and thicken it a bit.

He estimated ER to be Friday or Saturday, but will confirm after Thursday morning's U/S.

@LilyHarper  OMG I completely forgot about my celebrity-husband Channing!!  But hey, there are so many to choose from, it's hard to think of all of them at once.  And all the ladies who nominated Ryan Reynolds (as well as Ryan Gosling for the that matter), I agree 500%!!  :-c

Hi girls! I had first baseline today. I do the trigger shot tomorrow and ER on Thursday :) I want to go on a date with Michael Buble. I don't want him to talk to me, as I have heard he is quite a jerk, but just serenade me :)
Sounds like you're making good progress, @ktabs.  I've moved you from "Prep" to "Stimming/Priming/Monitoring" in the lists on the first post of this thread.  Let me know if you want me to change that.

@LilyHarper - Good Luck with ER today!

Also, your QOTW answer has me rethinking mine.  I'm still deep love with Gene Kelly, circa Singing in the Rain, but you know, my man Channing's not such a bad dancer either.  (Purely thinking about dance skills, of course ;)  )

  • @AMShark‌, yes I also chose him solely based on his...dance...skills. =)
    Yup.
  • @gsancho- Thanks for the link!
@heathereb23- I'd rather take all of the injections rather than get my blood taken. I'll always be a wimp about that.

So the nurse called me yesterday afternoon and said I have 27 follicles. UM that's a hell of a lot! I'm kind of excited, but also very nervous of what today might bring. If I had 27 yesterday, what will I have today? They think I will trigger today but who knows. I don't hold my breath anymore. They've been saying that for two days now haha.
