Yes and no. LO's room is still the guest room with nothing changed. However, we have all the stuff we need. I just need to pull it out of the attic. I need to go thru DD's little clothes and pull out the gender neutral which there isn't much of and wash it. If this LO is a boy my mom and DH will be shopping after he's born. I just don't feel as rushed with this one as I did with my first to have the nursery done. I know from experience the baby will be in our room probably longer than I intend for it to :-/
Not even close. Our nursery is completely filled with boxes from our move and we have only bought one thing. DH didn't want to get anything till we moved. We have 1 cradle, 1 crib, and 1 car seat. The swing we had with dd died so we need a new one.
x2!! we just had a party to get things moving with our unpacking, and I had to put a screen up in the nursery so that when you open the door all you can see are it and the 2 "baby" things we have (a stroller and a pile of some toys/books). If the guests only knew that if they walked in, past the screen, they would see a ceiling-high pile of empty boxes and newspaper O_o
****************************** October Challenge: How I feel about the 3rd trimester:
Throwback: Hubby and I on our first date (Nov 2007), and then again on our wedding day (Nov 2012)
I'm due at the beginning of December, but I guess I can go either way. So either a third November baby or December baby.
We're nowhere near ready. We haven't even begun getting ready. We'll probably start getting the stuff we need the beginning of next month. I did the same last time. I was 28-29 weeks when I started preparing and shopping for what I needed, and like last time I will have to start from scratch since I don't have anything baby related anymore.
But, we're minimalists, so my list isn't very long. That I can think of:
Pack 'n play
Cart organizer
Baby swing/glider
Sink insert for bathing
Toiletry set
Car seat and stroller (unless one is given to us)
Boppy pillow and a couple covers
Ergo
Baby K'tan
Adiri NxGen Nurser x 3
Swaddle blankets x2-3
Cloth diapers and accessories
Lansinoh and breast pads
Nursing bras/tanks
Clothes, mostly 0-6 months for now

I would have a HUGE panic attack if I were to have a baby today!! I don't know enough about taking care of babies, or stuff to take care if her with.. **breathe** breathe** I just realized that I am under 100 days till due date.. Oh shit!!!
Um no, not even close. I have been buying sleepers in all sizes when I see a great deal, knitting some wool diaper covers for overnight CDing, and I snagged a stroller for half off on Zulilly, but other than that.... We did do about half of the registry until DH had a grown man meltdown at Buy Buy Baby because he needed lunch. I'm just going to go finish the registry on my own because taking DH was more hassle than help. My shower is Oct. 4 and this is a late Nov. baby so I think it'll probably be ok.
I don't even have a single diaper!! We do have a crib and mattress, lamp, dresser/changing table, some clothes, and a PnP. Can't wait till the shower so we can narrow down the shopping list!
My due date is Nov 3 and I'm no where close to ready! We have the room set up (but no mattress in the crib), a few diapers and a few clothes and that's about it! I'm gonna need this baby to sit tight for a while!!!
Sorry girls didn't mean to give anyone anxiety or stress with this thread.. But it does make me feel better to know I'm not alone! Like I mentioned we only have a few things done crib/ dresser. Still need a car seat to bring him home in lol. I have 2 showers pending (9/20 & 10/4) so I'm going to sit back and relax ( ya right) until after the showers and then start worrying about all the things on my list!
Worse case scenario- he comes early- I'm sure between my husband, parents and in-laws they can round up last minute things if needed. I guess this thread made me feel more "normal" since most of us are not "ready"! Good luck ladies!!
As far as having the shower late goes.....my sister let me know that once her shower was done and everything was set up and ready for baby, the time pretty much stopped. I didn't want a long time in between the shower and baby's arrival, but now that I know he is measuring almost a week ahead.....I am scurred!!!

I am no where near ready! The room we are using as the nursery is a room we used as a closet so there are shelves on the wall and it's pretty much still filled with our clothes....completely filled!
We do have the two cribs already but they're not set up yet. We also have a swing and a rock n play still in the box . Hopefully this weekend we can get started on the room. Our baby shower is not til the 13th or 20th of September (it's supposed to be a surprise lol) so as long as I have the room ready by then I should be fine.

No where near ready and feeling a bit overwhelmed by this post. We have a pack'n'play because DH's grandson was just visiting and will be coming back in Sept. for a week (with his mom and dad) I frankly don't even think the baby's room is going to be ready by the time the baby arrives. Now, admittedly baby will just be in our bedroom, but it does give me some panic thoughts that DH doesn't seem motivated at all to "get going" on things.
He's probably the "father" of some of you other ladies' non-finishing significant others. We have two bathrooms in mid-renovation, a half completed roof (yes dear, it's not leaking and that's what truly matters!) and there has been a table saw in the living room for over five years (I frequently place things on it that need to go upstairs until I get upstairs) It all drives me looney, but like many of you I definitely appreciate how capable he is at doing so much without having to hire out....I just wish he'd finish something!
Yea part of me is like "I'm so ready come on baby!!!!" Then another part of me is like "what are you insane, like nothing is done." lol. We need more money so the next 3 months of saving will help, cloth diapers/clothing needs to be cleaned, and my husband needs a fun break or he's going to go insane. So I feel like the next 3 months are definitely needed, but ready to meet baby and stop throwing up/having back pain/etc. It's going by quick!
Ready? Haha! I don't think I could ever be ready for this LO. It's my 3rd but I thought I was done after my second. Nonetheless, I'm really excited to meet him. We just finally settled on a name for him which is just perfection. I'm emotionally ready to meet him but terrified at the same time. I'm also really impatient but LO needs to bake!
Baby room... Getting there! I have the pack n play that'll be set up next to my bed, the dresser, swing, bouncer, a toy cabinet for his toys some diapers and wipes and a bunch of new clothes and some hand me downs from one of my best friend. She also gave me her pump. I just need to pick up the accessories. I need the crib, infant carrier (I have a britax marathon from the same friend, she assures me it has never been in an accident and I trust her, only to be used as a MIL carseat for my niece that is visiting from Germany for a month, I will purchase new) so I do have the essentials to an extent. Everything else, I am waiting for the registry completion discount at Target to become available then go with my friend who works there so I can use my 15%, my red card 5%, and employee discount 10% (hope it works!!) and buy everything at once if in stock. Same goes for Amazon. I am also keeping an eye on crib price and the infant carrier price so that if the price drops, I snap it up. I have the nursery set up but am debating painting a new color for the wall, need to make some paintings and shelves but have plenty of time to do that.
I go in the nursery few times a day and stare around wondering what I have gotten myself into... And same time loving what I've set up.
Haha nope not at all! I need to clean, organize, wash, and have like no time left!!! So I'll be spending the rest of this month to get everything. I need to get it done lol
As far as having the shower late goes.....my sister let me know that once her shower was done and everything was set up and ready for baby, the time pretty much stopped. I didn't want a long time in between the shower and baby's arrival, but now that I know he is measuring almost a week ahead.....I am scurred!!!
If it makes you feel better, measuring ahead is not an indication that he'll come early, it just means that he's big for his gestational age. My kids always measure ahead but I haven't had any of them before their due dates (oldest was 6 days late, middle was 11 days late, and youngest was on her due date); I apparently just make big babies, which could also be the case for you.
I'm totally ready! Seriously. Like the only thing that needs to be done still is that our kitchen countertops are being installed next weekend, but that is all I was waiting on to feel "ready" for baby. I am a total weirdo though and if I wasn't ready now I would be freaking and stressing out. I need to be prepared like 5 months in advance for anything!!!

This makes me feel better about getting everything ready in time............but makes me feel bad because I don't want to imagine going over my due date. I am so big and miserable already! ha ha ha !!!

Stuff wise, we'd manage. I have a crib, mattress, car seat, swing, some sheets and clothes. We could buy diapers and wipes and have the absolute necessities.
Mentally, I'm not even close. I'm a preparer. I like to know as much as possible about something in advance. So, I basically have a library in my apartment comprised of books on pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, and babies. I'd like to finish reading them all. Id like to find a doula and attend all the classes I've signed us up for. I'd also like to name our baby or at least have a short list to pick from when we meet him.
We are not ready, but if tomorrow was magically November 2nd and he was here we'd just need to buy diapers. We've got crib, dresser, furniture, etc and a bunch of clothes from my sister-in-law. We haven't painted the nursery yet. We need to clean out the closet in the nursery that currently stores Christmas decorations and old financial paperwork of my husband's.
I don't know when this is all going to happen though because we have things to do every weekend from now until my due date, including two baby showers. (one locally and one where my parents live).
N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
I don't have anywhere to do a nursery so I'm feeling very panicky over that. For the most part, I'm ready. I have everything I NEED. Not everything I want and we still have to finish our house, sell it and hopefully buy a new one. But we have until this baby is 6 months old to achieve all of this. It makes me panic but then I remember we don't have to do everything all at once. I still want the snuza monitor, this kangaroo cami top that allows skin to skin with a shirt and the medela SNS. Other than that, I'm set!
Hahahaha no. I have everything clotheswise, but need furniture! Not having a shower, so buying 95% of baby stuffs myself with help from my mom (she bought 100% of the clothes and toys we have).
God, imagine how women felt back when most of what you needed were blankets and a freaking cradle. Well, women died more in childbirth back then, so i think i'll take modern medicine + all the crap we have to buy.
