I'm in Canada and stuff is so limited compared to you guys. I have found old navy to have good quality stuff for a little less than the regular maternity stores here. And target as well.
I've read great reviews about the Bellabelt? It's supposed to make it possible for you to carry on wearing your normal trousers for longer as you can wear them undone but your modesty covered! They are about £20 but could save a fortune. Also heard good things about maxi dresses tho not sure wel benefit from those much when wer at our largest in winter lol. Hope this helps x
Motherhood can be cheap. There was a sale 2 weeks ago (plus I had a 20% off coupon) and I bought some items- 2 long sleeve henley tees for 7$ each, a thick cardigan for 15$ and a winter coat for 30$. I would check around to see if there's a coupon or promo code out there.
I wish I had known about Pink Blush my last pregnancy, but I am going to buy some things from there this time around. Their clearance section is really well priced too, but even their regular stuff is great. Dresses under $40!
I also had good luck at motherhood. I shopped mostly off the sales rack. The sales person kept trying to push other more expensive stuff on me, but I ignored that and stuck to what was affordable.
If you are on Facebook check and see if there is a mommy group in your area. Basically it's just people in your community and you can buy/sell things. There is some random household stuff, but a ton of baby stuff and a lot of maternity clothes. I discovered mine when DD was about 5 months old and I'm sort of addicted. Will for sure be checking out maternity clothes on mine this time around : )
I'd recommend a bella band or something similar. It will help you get extra wear out of your regular pants and just make them more comfortable! If you're in store selection is limited, look online. The selections are much bigger.
Last time around I got away with buying a size up in regular pants and wore Bella Bands. It got a little uncomfortable around 37 weeks however anything was uncomfortable at that time. It was a better investment for myself as I was able to wear them buttoned up postpartum until I lost the weight.

I just discovered pink blush today during a google search. They seem to have some really cute stuff. They seem to be a bit more trendy too without costing a fortune like a pea in the pod. I wore a lot of motherhood maternity last time, and target maternity clothes too since they were reasonably priced.
My first pregnancy I bought almost all my clothes at Goodwill. I got all name brand stuff for very cheap. Really, I got Old Navy jeans for $4 a pair and some A.N.A. Jeans for the same price. They were in great shape and I plan to use them this go around also. Consignment shopping is the best way to go in my opinion.
Old Navy and especially GAP were by far my favorite maternity clothes from last time. Last week I scored a maternity activewear jacket for $1.50, plus a dress and a top that were less than $10 each on clearance at my Old Navy. Last pregnancy I did a lot online especially when they had an extra 40% off. I HATED Motherhood unless I had too. Found some good deals at local consignments, plus if I did Motherhood I had better luck at Kohls or Macys.
Maternity clothes is one thing I'm NOT looking forward to!!!
Being pregnant in the dead of winter means that I'll need lots of maternity pants/jeans, sweaters, ect. Which are not only expensive, but I find them uncomfortable even when I'm not preggo. And how am I going to fit into a winter coat? I'm from Canada, so we have pretty cold/snowy winters!!!
It's all fun now with the cute stretchy summer dresses. Maybe I'll just try to stick to those with some stretchy leggings all winter, and hope it's a mild one!
I would buy the minimum and stretch what you have for as long as possible because you dont know how big you will be later on. Buy some flowy tops that you can wear when youre not pregnant too or longer sweaters that will work with a maternity tank. The same for a blazer for work, etc. I would check clearance racks too as I found a great sweater dress at motherhood for $15. I would buy clothes as you need them. I ended up buying some size S maternity tops that didnt fit me until the last weeks. That was a waste. The clothes really aren't worth the money.
I found some decent stuff on thredup.com. It's also resale. And if you look, you can find a 40% off your first order coupon. I got a pair of paige jeans, joes jeans, gap dress pants, a pair of nine west flats, and a couple liz lange shirts for $60 total.

Little Man is growing up!
Gap has nice quality stuff. Expensive at regular prices, but they have good sales.
asos is a British company that has cheap trendy maternity stuff (order online)
Zulilly and Gilt also have good deals.
eBay can have good things, especially fancier brands second hand.
it's all hit or miss and you have to shop around and try to buys stuff when it's in sale, rather than waiting until you desperately need things.
