Hello hello!!! My LB @golfergirl08 sent me a text tonight and I decided to end my bump hiatus.
I missed you all and thought about you often, hoping everyone was doing well!
My quick updates (in regulation list format):
1- my dh dropped a bombshell on me in march/April when he decided that he didn't want to be a teacher anymore. He wanted to go back to school for petroleum engineering. He's now getting his post-baccalaureate and finishing up his summer classes. The next few years are going to be difficult to say the least.
2- my BFF fell in love with one of my dh's friends (and the last single guy friend we had) and is leaving NY tomorrow to move to Texas....I'M SO EXCITED!!
3- my firm has been busy and it's been so so stressful for me. We're expanding and now taking criminal cases as well. God help me.
4- my mom has been here for a month visiting and being a HUGE help and she goes home tomorrow...sad face.
5- on the BF front, I EP'd until LO was exactly 7 months and have been done pumping for a week though my milk hasn't gone anywhere. Not painful or engorged but any pressure and we have leakage so I'm ready for that to stop. It was mentally awful stopping with a full supply and heart wrenching but I knew I needed to because I wasn't taking medication for my chrons disease and pumping was taking a LOT of my time. Don't know if I'll ever be at peace with this decision.
6- LO is 7 months and 1 week and doing great! He just started saying mamamamama this week and is almost crawling (gets on all 4s and thrusts forward into a face plant). He's the best thing in my world and I don't even remember what my life was like without him.
I'm sorry for going AWOL on you guys but everything hit at once and I just needed to focus and plow through a handful of stressful and busy months.
How are you all? How are your LOs? What are the cool jams? What is everybody listening to?
