Hi all

Thought I'd stop lurking for a minute to ask how you all handled nurseries. I didn't see anything posted, but it's possible I missed it.
We're due in January with our first 2 and are planning on doing 2 separate nurseries. The 2 rooms are like a foot from each other. Obviously they'll probably be in our room for the first few montha, but after that we thought it would be easier to go ahead and separate them, rather than making it harder to do in the future. Did anyone else do this, or is 1 nursery preferred? We'll definitely have 2 cribs as I've read it can be unsafe for them to share, and I'll go ahead and admit I'm going to be a nervous ma! haha
On a separate note, we've decided on the Chicco Cortina Together stroller and KeyFit seats. Any thoughts/tips? Thanks!

Re: 1 or 2 nurseries?
I prefer my kids in their own room from the day come home from the hospital. I'm not against room sharing or even bed sharing, but it never worked out for us. Newborns are noisy sleepers and everyone got more sleep in separate rooms.
We have 3 bedrooms and they are all pretty large (we recently moved from a very small 3 bedroom - the third bedroom was maybe 50sf. Not kidding). We'll be in out new house for a while but it's likely not forever, so if everyone wants their own room down the line, so be it.
Having them in the same room as babies is more convenient than anything else. Tandem feedings, plus one dresser, changing table and glider. The only bedroom thing you need two of is a crib.
We do have two cribs in the room and one dresser for them to share. Right now A is in her crib and J is still in the rock n play in our room.

We had them in our room for the first 2 months in 1 pack n play. Then they moved to their own cribs but spent some nights in the swings in their room. By 4 months, one twin was a great sleeper and one was a horrible sleeper. The great sleeper was being seriously disturbed, so we separated them. The great sleeper started consistently sleeping through the night around 8 months but the poor sleeper didn't sleep through until 18 months! We just moved and really wanted them to share a room again, so we could have a play room. Now at 2, they share a room and do great. They actually like being together now.
I would just prepare for them needing their own space to sleep. I was not ready for that and it was a really hard decision to make but it worked out great.
Mine slept in the same crib (horizontally) for about the first 3 months. Then we switched to separate cribs. It broke my heart to separate them at that point, I would have felt awful having them in separate rooms!
8/15 FET #1 - transferred 1 thawed embryo - Pregnant with Baby C, it's a girl! Due April 2016.
