FFFCs

I didn't see this one started yet, hope it is okay if I get it going.

And this is probably not really a FFC but I can't say I find Tom Hiddleston all that attractive (give me Thor any day).  I remember a few of you ladies on here who do so I thought I would share:

  • Aaaand y'all just reminded me that there might be leftover tacos in my fridge for lunch today (since I'm teleworking) if my DH didn't take them to work with him. Crossing my fingers because I am too lazy to walk downstairs and check. :-)

  • Ok, now I'm hungry and a little angry because our Taco Bell is still closed!!! A few days ago it was gone entirely. Now I see walls. Still won't be open before lo arrives. :((
  • FFFC: I legit teared up a little at the thought of rolling myself out of bed to go to work this morning.  Then, after I did, I legit paused and cried for a minute when attempting to put on my bra, because really?  I just can't contort myself anymore.

Last night I cuddled DH while he slept and cried because it suddenly hit me that after the baby's here, it's never going to be just us again. That's okay with me; we planned and tried for this baby and are so excited to be parents. But I felt like I was grieving the end of a chapter of our lives that we can never go back to. It's a scary thought right now.
I felt this way too before DS came along. We make sure we take time to spend with just the two of us from time to time though which is great. Grandparents or other family are great for that! Also we share so many wonderful emotions and experiences that revolve around this little person (soon to be 2) in our life that I don't miss it just being he and I as much as I thought I would.

I'm incredibly jealous of all this Taco Bell talk!!! Stupid gluten and soy pretty much kill it for me and oh...how I'd kill for like five bean burritos. Instead I'll just have to settle for the GF cocoa crispies that I saturated with chocolate milk and am currently inhaling...
Same here!! I'd about kill for one of those quesadilla-wrapped burritos right now, at 1030am, but alas, the glutens make it untouchable.

Also agree with everyone on the hot Marvel men. Loki is cute, Thor is hot, Cap is hottest. I mean, dayum. However, the one I really don't understand the sexual frenzy over is Benedict Cumberbatch. He's funny, great actor (really, just great Sherlock), but so does not get the lady juices flowing.

100% AGREE... I couldnt wrap my head around those "Loki is hot" discussions Now Thor.... Yum. Though I have to admit Id take Captain America or Wolverine any day over the rest of em.
wolverine...drool...serious slobber over here. he's pretty darn sexy as his clean-cut everyday self, but there's something about him in his wolverine "look" - and ironically, i don't like "hairy" men! yuk yuk

my FFFC? i don't know who the eff tom hiddleston is.
    He's that totally-hotter-than-Thor-guy pictured above.

FFFC #3: I cannot stop with the Taco Bell smothered burritos. I also cannot count the number of them I have eaten recently.

FFFC: I haven't had one of these, but now feel the need to hunt one down today.  :)

    ----Edited for mobile quote shenanigans----------

This is a true story, straight from my actual life:

SO brought me a smothered burrito the other night. I always order the shredded chicken, and he said he did, too. I made it HALFWAY THROUGH the damn thing before realizing they had given him one with ground beef. These things are not small so to make it halfway through and not realize your eating beef and not chicken is a little ridiculous. Either way, it was still delicious, and you can bet I scarfed the rest of it down.

ETA: I also get a side of nacho cheese to add to it. NOM.

I'm the same way with GBCB. I know what it means and how to use it, just not what it actually stands for.

It's ok, I'm used to being attracted to the odd ducks. My DH is not aware of this. :P
  • @gingergiraffe But, but, but.... Del Taco has THESE...

  • My FFFC: My veterinarian is inside my store so I COULD have scheduled to drop off my cats for their biannual exam and vaccines while I was working but I scheduled it for my day off today as an excuse to get my butt dressed and out of the house with DS. I have a fun day planned, but I'm so big and tired and it's so hot out that I need a little something extra to kick me out of the door. How pathertic is that?

I'm going to drop the cats off at the vet, go to a diner with DS for breakfast (I love dates with just my little guy), and then stroll around the mall and let DS play in the indoor play spaces.
  • I prefer Thor to Loki too. I have a thing for men with beards (as you can tell by my avatar) and my DH has blonde hair and blue eyes just like Thor. My friends and I all agree that he actually looks a lot like Charlie Hunnam though so go ahead and put me in the Jax Teller crowd instead. Also, I don't see the whole David Tennant thing either. I know a lot of you do but I just see him with his funky tongue twitch and greasy hair as Barty Crouch.

My FFC for the day is I am looking forward to (and have been for weeks) a 2 year olds birthday party today. My girlfriend should be a party planner and never got bday parties as a kid so she went all out for her DD. It's a princess tea party and she actually made princess dresses for all 15 of the girls that will be there. It's gonna be do fun to watch the little girls get all dressed up and run around.

You just wait until I get home and gif bomb this thread with sexy David Tennant. ;-) Gah...he makes me all fangirly and giddy and shit.

So I had no idea who this is and had to look it up... seriously? I just don't see it. I've never seen Doctor Who or even know what it is about but google images tells me that it is a good thing we all have different taste in men. :)

Haha, I honestly didn't see it either until I started watching Who. It's him as the Doctor that does it...the sarcasm, wit, and humor do it for me.

DH makes fun of me for my celeb man crushes b/c they're all so different...he says I have low standards.

  • I never ever never missed a vitamin or iron pill when I was pregnant with DD, but somehow I always forget to take both and realize the next day or a few days later that I haven't taken them. I have low iron so it really doesn't help that I forget to take it :(
  • My 3 year old daughter is obsessed with Captain America after she met him in Disneyland in March. I mean literally obsessed. He was the character that was the nicest to look at, but 3?!? We are in trouble.... :-S
  • I have all the love in the world for Captain America.

FFFC: it should be totally acceptable to punch someone that says your due in four weeks? There is no way your to small for that. No shit Sherlock that's because she's measuring way behind and no just eating more is not going to fix the problem.

I agree on both! drooooool for captain America and if people really knew what was going on they'd stop fucking commenting on my 'tiny' size.

FFFC #2: I'd like to be one if those women who experience orgasm during childbirth. They looks so happy and pain free in the pictures!
Haha I was JUST thinking about this, but my FFFC is that I don't want to be one of those women. Way too many people watching. And by way too many, I mean more than one.

I was telling my husband when we were at Disneyland yesterday that I think it should be legal for all pregnant women to punch others who annoy them. LOL

As for my FFFC: I have cried every day for the past 2 weeks when I think about having another baby. I love my DD so much and can't imagine sharing my love and attention with another child. I'm ~5 weeks away and I was hoping to be over this by now, but these feeling are only getting worse. I feel incredibly guilty and really hope I will feel bonded to this new baby once he arrives, because right now I feel absolutely no attachment to him whatsoever.

  • I love this thread today, because I can relate to lost of y'all's confessions! Mine is that I cried/sobbed for 45 straight minutes last night, because I just found out that we aren't going to be able to paint the nursery furniture like we had planned. My brother and SIL are giving it to us, but apparently "giving" means "lending until you don't need it, then give it back so we can sell it." I realize they have every right to do this, and I'm not mad at them about it. It just would have been nice to know earlier, not two days before we planned to paint. And now my BF says there's just not time to get the money together to buy anything in the color we wanted. So I'm going to be stuck with a mismatched nursery. Suuuuper petty and unimportant, but last night I found it pretty devastating.
I'm not sure where you live, but I would go to any resale shop and pick up something ugly to paint before I did mismatched furniture. You can get a dresser for 50-100 and paint it a cute color and change the hardware for 20. I totally understand your frustration here.

I'm right there with you. I don't know that I believe this, but someone last night was telling me that when #2 arrives, #1 becomes daddy's kid and #2 mommy's and I actually thought to myself "I want #1. He can have #2." Then I felt bad for thinking that. Oh dang. Now I'm crying at my desk.
If it helps at all I have a couple of friends who went through this when they transitioned from one to two kids and they have all said it is amazing how your heart just grows and grows. And don't stress about bonding, it is completely normal to not feel bonded to a child, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, whatever until they arrive and you spend some time with them. My friend said she felt so bad when her son (her first child) was born because she didn't immediately bond with him but it didn't take long for that bond to form. Seriously, it is totally normal to have these feelings, please don't feel bad about it.

@crystalangel79 loved that cheesy movie...plus Patrick Dempsy is all kinds of good looking now! Special place in my heart for the nerds and furballs! (And after seeing Mr. Ten-Inch above...still no idea who he is but I can appreciated his geeky good looks!)
It's the geeky nerdiness too. A guy could be totally hot and nicely sculpted, but if he's an ass or isn't smart, he might as well be the ugliest guy ever. On the flip side, an average or not so good looking guy who is super smart, nerdy, and funny will turn me on to no end.

I've painted the walls and we have the furniture, but I have zero interest in decorating the nursery.

MH keeps saying go on Pinterest and have a blast - I think he's excited to see a darling nursery, but I just don't have the talent or desire.
Man I have a bit of talent and desire but not the financial means to do anything. Lame sauce.

Same here. There's just no money in the budget for that unfortunately
  • Thanks, @trebekastan‌! My BF tried to be supportive, but he couldn't care less about the color of the furniture and is refusing to spend money on furniture when we already have some. I'm planning to do some secret thrift shopping this weekend with a little of my own money, and see what I can do.

Guys just don't understand about that kind of thing.
