Any cool traits?

I was researching sectorial hetrochromia to see if it was a trait my daughter might inherit over her dads 'black' eyes and found there is a chance of her getting both . I was wondering if any other Mommas might have cool traits they might be passin on? If so I'd love to know what they are:)

My grandfather had one green/hazel eye and one blue eye. But you really didn't notice unless you looked very closely.

DH and I both have curly hair, and so does DS. I'm pretty sure all our kids will.

DH comes from a family of almost all blondes, and I'm a brunette but my mom and her family are almost all blondes too, so we likely will have at least one blonde-headed LO.

Those are pretty normal traits, though. DH has two webbed toes (sort of...they're connected higher than the joint). I suppose that's something? Lol

DH has dimples and I'd love for one of our kids to inherit them. He also has double jointed knuckles and I know those can be hereditary so I wonder if any of our kids will get them.

One interesting thing though, according to my biology class in college, I remember talking about how the ability to roll your tongue is genetic. Well, neither DH nor I can roll our tongues but DS can. Not sure how that one works but I just think it's interesting that he would somehow inherit a gene that is not dominant for either DH or me.

I am about 90% sure DD is left handed, like me. I researched it a little after she was born, and apparently you can often see a hand preference when they are newborns by just observing which hand they hold near their face. Sure enough when I look back at pics from her newborn days she is always holding her little left fist by her face. Now she usually uses that hand for eating, throwing, and coloring.

We have three girls all blonde haired (DD#3's is a little darker but DD#1 and DD#2 are bleach blonde) and blue eyed... DH and I have blue eyes but he has DARK(nearly black) hair and always has. Mine was blonde as a child and is now somewhere between sandy blonde and brunette. It will be interesting to see the differences between our girls and our boy. Other than that we're pretty boring!!!

FI went completely grey by the time he was 5yrs old. Most of the men in his family were grey by 10. Not saying this is a trait I want baby to have, but it's the only really interesting one lol.

I am hoping our kid gets red hair. Both DH and I have the recessive gene. Pretty normal stuff though.

I have a widow's peak...which is technically a birth defect, but I like it. ;;) DD didn't get it, but maybe DS will! Also, DH has really long, dark, luxurious eyelashes...I prayed for DD to get those and she did! I'm hoping this one gets my green eyes.

Not cool but the one trait I worry about the most is the trait for RA. It effects women more than men, so I am more worried that my daughter will carry the gene for it, but it is possible my sons will as well. My great grandmother and grandmother had it as well.

From my research, which I barely understood, you can have the gene but not have it activated. So you could carry the gene your whole life and never develop RA. I hope they never experience it.

I have clinodactyly in my little fingers, and I hope my kid gets that. I know it's a weird thing to wish on someone, but I feel like it's one of the few unique things my kid might get from my mother's side of the family. I'm also hoping he gets my husband's awesome color-changing eyes.

My husband and I both have blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Something about little boys with blonde hair & blue eyes melts my heart! Fx this little one will get both!

My hair is soooo thin and wispy and DH has beautiful thick hair. He also has the metabolism of a 6 year old. Can't gain weight if he tries. I hope she inherits his thick hair and metabolism, but inherits my looks and my freckles.

I had soooo many freckles growing up. Still do have a ton, but they've faded with time and make up.

DD and I can both roll our tongues, but DH can't.

Enjoying the taste of cilantro is genetic, and I hope both my kids inherit that from DH and I. I'm pretty sure DD likes it, but she's pretty finicky to begin with, so I never know what she likes or dislikes from one day to the next.

It's very possible LO could be a redhead. Your welcome baby. I'm pretty sure she'll be blond like her daddy though. I also hope she doesn't get my fair red head skin.

Both DH and I have really long toes and fingers. I already know our son got these because it's the first thing the ultrasound tech commented on at 20 weeks. He has monkey toes.

Hair will be interesting in our family.

I have really, really thick hair. To the point that if someone new cuts it they always comment on it a little amazed. My dad's is even thicker. DH hads been balding since he was about 12. So have all 3 of his brothers.

My dad has been graying since his early 20s. He was about half gray when he was 27 (pictures from my birth). My brother started graying at 19. I'm considering myself lucky that I'm not yet.

My hair is dark dark brown, almost black, but lightens and gets a reddish tint when I spend any time in the sun. My roots and tips are completely different colors, and my hair hasn't been dyed in years. I was blonde until I was as 2. DH has medium brown hair but his beard has black, brown, blonde and red in it.

I'm really wondering what combination of all this oddness our little boy will end up with.

Both DH and I have a widow's peak, so there is a good chance that Schroeder will have one as well. Hoping that she inherits my duel colored eyes (green around the pupil and blue on the outside of the iris). Aside from that, the biggest question will be if she has my childhood blond hair (golden) or DH's childhood blond hair (almost white blond).
