Favorite newborn book?

I'm realizing now that I should have done a little more reading about what to do with newborns.  I've have plenty of friends and family to give advice, but sometimes I like to do things on my own.  Does anyone have a favorite book for advise on sleeping, breast feeding, play time, etc?  Thanks!

  • I also like Happiest Baby on the Block, though for a more comprehensive book I like "Caring for your child birth to 5 years"...if you're in the south, sign up for publix baby club and it comes to you for free! It's fat like a reference book. I just read up to her current stage so I can see what milestones should be coming. Good luck!

  • I like what to expect the first year. It's very helpful. And instead of reading the happiest baby book just rent the DVD from the library/netflix
  • all the Dr. Sears books! Namely:
    The Baby Book
Attachment Parenting (LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!)

and yes, borrow the happiest baby on the block dvd from the library. it works!
