I didn't realize that the heartburn would be this bad. It actually hurts my stomach. I also got the whooping cough vaccination and my arm feels like it's been punched by Mike Tyson. Am I also supposed to be feeling this exhausted? I just wanna cry!
I've been taking pepcid all along - one a day. That doesn't always do it, though. You want to ask your doc if it's ok to take it. I also chew gum, which almost always helps. Sounds simple, but it does the trick. My doc also said that tums on top of the pepcid is ok.
1. My midwife told me to try all the over the counter meds until I found one that works. Ask your provider for recommendations. 2. Mhm. 3. Yup. 4. We've all been there. No shame in allowing yourself a few low moments.

Various things I've read that can help: coconut, pineapple, almonds, bananas and coca-cola.
For me, I've found that drinking the coconut water with pineapple in it has been good. I also figured out that fried food is a huge trigger for me. In the end, the only thing that actually makes it go away for me is drinking some kind of liquid antacid, be it maalox, store brand, rolaids brand or whatever. The thick, chalky texture is the only thing that seems to shut it down. I save that as an extreme remedy for bedtime, though.
My midwives told me to take either a zantac 150 or its generic and it works great for me! I only take one at night right after supper and it keeps the heartburn gone all night! :-)

Forever missing my 7 m/c babies now safe in the arms of Jesus!
Tums. Constant tums. I also try to keep my belly stretched out, laying down or standing straight. When my belly is compressed it makes the heartburn worse

So grateful to know that there are people that know exactly what I'm going through.
