I know we've discussed baby names and for that fact, most of us even have the little name badge in our siggy, but I'm interested to go down the line and see who has picked what!
Name you decided on: Grayson Cole
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Brody Cole / Jericho Cole
Name(s) you strongly refused: Logan / Silas
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Dawson
Re: Baby Names!
Yay! I love reading these! I'll answer keeping in mind that we are Team Green...
Name you decided on: Adalyn Kate or Harrison Michael
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Addison or Andrew
Name(s) you strongly refused: I didn't STRONGLY hate anything, but I did refuse many many names DH suggested. Some include: Samantha and Cole
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Charlotte
I'll play!
Name you decided on: Kenna Elizabeth
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Kamryn Elizabeth or Kamryn Grace (but someone would call her Kami and they would be punched. Nothing against the name it just isn't my favorite and my MIL's dog is named Cami lol)
Name(s) you strongly refused: pretty much any name we hadn't discussed in the last few years lol I am "strong-headed" to say the least. My mom kept throwing Kennedy and Kendal out there but those just weren't working for me.
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Charlotte Ann (I wanted to call her Charlie but DH put it down pretty quick)

Name you decided on: Nellie May (family names)
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Wendy May (but DH felt he couldn't pronounce Wendy)

Name(s) DH strongly refused: Sadie
**Follow your heart, but take your brain with you**
Me 32 and DH 40
Fur-baby named Bella
1 MC Nov. 2013
DD born Nov. 2, 2014
Little 2 EDD Oct. 1
Name you decided on: Jack (middle name undecided - I like Patrick or Andrew)
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Really nothing else. I pitched about 50 different names to my husband and Jack was the only one he said he truly liked.
Name(s) you strongly refused: I had no strong oppositions. Although when my dad refers to the baby as little Georgie (my dad's name is George), I want to claw his face off. No offense to the name George, but we picked Jack and my dad refuses to accept that fact.
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Luca (I thought it was so cute but my husband for some unknown reason absolutely hated it. Weirdo!)
This baby's name will be Ivy. She will also have a middle name honouring my mom and my SIL... and then a second middle name which she will be called when we are in Morocco (honouring my DH's sister who passed away as a baby).
Name you decided on: Drew Matthew
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Adam/Luke
Name(s) you strongly refused: Raph (my hubby was stuck on this)
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Jake/Jaxon
While I respect missnacholover 's team yellow choice.....IT'S BEEN KILLING ME!
I swear...we wont tell your family...WE WONT!
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Emerson Lou (after my grandma who passed when my mom was 15). My mom wouldn't let me name her this since she thought people would call her Emmy Lou, which I secretly love!!
Name(s) you strongly refused or Name(s) DH strongly refused: We really didn't have any other names. I've always loved Emerson so that has always been her name.
Name you decided on: William James
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: It has always been William for a boy, but we liked William Archer a lot as well as William Robert. We decided we couldn't do William Robert as he would technically be "Billy Bob".
Name(s) you strongly refused:DH loves Braveheart and wanted LO's name to be William Wallace. I said no.
Name(s) DH strongly refused: We never had too many disagreements about boy names, but we had a slightly harder time with girl names. I liked Leah and Avery and DH vetoed those. I always liked Archer as LO's middle name as it comes from one of my favourite books (Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton), but DH couldn't think of anything except the movie Face/Off which kind of ruined it for him.
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: I wanted the middle name to be James, but didn't like it with Jackson so we ditched it. My husband had already been campaigning for Daniel so that was easy enough.
Name(s) you strongly refused: He had a few. Only one that comes to mind right now is Wyatt.
Name(s) DH strongly refused: I said a LOT of names that he said no to. A lot. I really liked Ethan and was denied.
@missnacholover, I love Claire too. I know a little girl whose name is Clara and she is the sweetest!!
Name you decided on: Riley Harper (although my mom keeps giving me "suggestions" on different ways to spell Riley)
Name you ALMOST picked: Olivia or Morgan either as Morgan Olivia, Morgan Haprer or Oliva Morgan
Name(s) you strongly refused: I really didn't care for anything that was on the top 10 list
Name(s) DH strongly refused: He didn't like Carly but he was kind of like me and didn't want a name that was really popular
Hehe. That's an idea...
:-?
IMMEDIATELY! EVERYONE SCOWER HER OLD POSTS!!!
#creeper
She is named after my dad, and we will see if we choose Jamie as a nickname. We chose her first name almost a year before we had the a/s. S/he was going to be James either way.
Boy: Arlo Henry or Wayland Porter
Girl: Loretta (unknown middle), Drake Lynn, Dylan Elizabeth, and the list keeps going.
Name you decided on: Still not decided.....I am avoiding the topic. Leaning toward Matteo Gianni
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: pffft......I can put Matteo Gianni here too.....
Name(s) you strongly refused: DH liked Fantino. I said No.
Name(s) DH strongly refused: I love the name Max. I think its cute, and I don't know anyone with that name. DH doesn't like it. He wants an italian name....and there are totally italian versions of Max. ha ha! MAXIMO FTW!! lol.....
I really need to either accept Matteo, or start some serious name searching........I don't mind Matteo....its just.....I don't know....too odd for me? I like Gianni and that was DH's grandfathers name, so thats cool. My grandma was from Italy, and her dads name was Paul. I thought about Gianni Paul......but then DH brought up the fact that he has 2 Pauls that he knows that he cannot stand. So that name is kinda scarred for him. Sigh.......
Nov. '14 January Siggy : Work Sucks!
Me 32-DH 38
Married July 14, 2007 ----- TTC # 1 October 1, 2013
BFP March 7, 2014 ----- EDD November 17, 2014 ---- Baby boy born November 16, 2014
I'll play! I'm coming from the mindset when we didn't know the sexes of the babies so we had to throw around a lot of potential names.
Name you decided on: Wilhelmina (Willa) Suzanne and Ari *middle name TBD*
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Caroline (my first top pick before I thought of Wilhelmina), Arianna (had Ari been a girl), Wilhelm (had Wilhelmina been a boy)
Name(s) you strongly refused: The only name DH wanted was Ari (or a version of it) for one baby and I was cool with that. He left it up to me to come up with the second name.
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Oh god...it seems like he had a negative association for every male name I came up with. Oliver, Henry, Milo, Arlo...you name it. I'm so glad we ended up having a boy and a girl. Made naming so much easier.
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
Dude! My name is Wendy! How can your DH not pronounce my name?
Unless he wants to pronounce it windy (like the wind). Then he might get punched.
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
Name you decided on: Madelyn Noelle
Name(s) you ALMOST picked: Brooklyn
Name(s) you strongly refused: Natalie, Olivia, & Emma
Name(s) DH strongly refused: Grace & Harper
You've given a couple hints
Adalyn and Harrison
I got ripped on the Baby Names board, but I also hate most of their suggestions.
Originally we were Addison for a girl, but I felt THAT was too trendy/popular, so we switched to Adalyn. Baby Names Board said it should be spelled Adaline, but to me, I think of pronouncing that with the word "line" in it (like, walk a straight line).
Anyways, looking for totally honest opinions here...
(Unless you are naming your baby Crapbag spelled KrapBahg or something, then I may have to object)
