I'm kinda "meh" on it. I picture a guy in his 50's wearing wire-rim glasses and a cardigan smoking a pipe. I don't know why that image popped into my head. I've never even met anyone with that name.
I've known a few Wades. I've always liked the name. It is distinguished and masculine, similar to Will in my book.
Just so you get the image that I have when I think of Wade, both Wades that I know are very good-looking, athletic guys with blonde hair. One looks a lot like Prince William and the other looks like Michael Vartan (the teacher on Never Been Kissed).
I must have had different experiences because the image that comes to my mind is a middle-aged guy wearing a wife beater with a mullet and beer belly hanging outside his trailer with his beer-drinking buddies.

Wade was the duck in the Garfield cartoons. He was also my vice principal in high school who was later caught messing around with a middle school girl. It's a pedophile sounding name to me for that reason.
April is National Grilled Cheese Month. How are you celebrating?

It just dawned on me... I bet I'm thinking of Ward, as in Cleaver.
well, I'm in the definite minority. I don't think of the trailer park reference.
Its NMS, but I don't have any negative thoughts around it.
I thought possibly it was an old english or scottish name.
TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages.
Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.
I don't care for it, but I know how important it is to carry on a family name. My first son with my fiance will be Gregory (greg) the 4th. I didn't like it at first, but once I got to meet his family I could see whay it is important & I feel honored to carry it on.
