    TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

    Eh, she apologized, on her board anyway. Said she wasn't coming back here to read it. I appreciate all of you guys sticking up for me. I really just don't care enough about what they think to defend or go into any more detail about what I wrote. They really don't know me and they took what I said out of context. Ultimately I didn't write it for them, I wrote it for me. I am not immune to it though. I do have to say that I am a bit bummed out by some of the comments and I am worried that some of you think I am a tacky and ungrateful person. That is what I think is bothering me the most about this whole thing.

    Regardless, @TheOtherJacobsons I know this has already been a very hard week for you and I am very sorry that your "safe place" to vent and seek solace feels a little less safe. But we are still here for you in every way. ((hug))

    Also - if anyone receives any private messages of attack, please let me know privately.

    I am so confused. I see people calling others names all the time, and I wasn't specific to anyone. "those" is pretty ambiguous. I mean, they could take it personally, but if the shoe fits?

    Okay - I'm really not sure what you're asking me here? I'm really not.

    If you give me an example (quote? thread?) of name calling then I can explain and give context but otherwise I really don't know what you're asking.

    But if I called you a silly bitch and blew kisses at you in part of a jovial conversation we were having, it wouldn't necessarily be a personal attack and TOU violation based solely on the word being used - it would depend on the context. If it's part of our rapport or the rapport of the board (such as the rapport on Parenting) then that's okay. This is why it's important to have each mod stick to their own board - they know what the rapport of each board is and what flies and what doesn't.

    But that ^ may have NOTHING to do with what you're trying to ask me. Sooo . . help?

    I'm not blaming you here, I know you just enforce them and not make them, but the rules of TOU are bogus. So basically, I can call any name in the book as long as I blow kisses or extend a hug emoticon? That is crazy. Who determines if the insult is just part of the boards's rapport?

    It's not a big deal, I can take being warned. I just don't understand how 90% of the people on TB haven't been banned for misuse with the widespread insults/name calling you can see on any board. I don't have a specific example off hand.

    I hope you don't think I'm being pissy with you, that's not the case at all, I just don't get it.
