I drive an Acura MDX. We bought it in March right before I found out I was pregnant with our surprise #3. I drove a bmw 3 series before and had two car seats in there. Everyone said I'd need a bigger car after Baby #1, nope...
I drive a Ford Escape and love it. Its the perfect size and will work great with kids. Hubby works for a Chrysler dealership so he has a new vehicle ever few months.
Currently driving VW Jetta. Great car but between baby and a very large Rottie I am trading my Jetta for my mom's Acura MDX so we can carry the dog around in the trunk versus trying to fit both a 120lbs Rottie with no personal space boundaries and a newborn in the back seat of a sedan!
DH has a Ram 1500. Going to put a canopy on that and get a carrier for the dog, though my SUV will probably be the main vechile we take if we have both dog and baby going somewhere.
We have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid that we are selling and going to buy a Dodge Durango. So much bigger - 3rd row and captains seats in the 2nd row. With 2 kiddos and a dog and a lot of traveling, we need the space.
I have taken my kids around in my IL's Yukon, which is big like a Sequoia, and in our area at least, it sucks opening the doors enough to put kids in car seats in parking lots. I find the sliding doors to make life with lots of little kids so much easier.
This thread makes me want to get a car! (We live in a city and don't need one, but I've been wanting one recently!) I've been eyeing the Acura RDX. I need to convince DH that we need a car first though. He hates driving in the city.
