Two Under 2

3u3 in February

Last week we found out we are expecting LO3. DD will be 2.5 years, and DS will be 18 months when the new baby arrives. I got so much good advice from this board to help with transition to 2u2. How many other 3u3 moms are out there? Anyone have any advice on making the transition to being completely out numbered by little people? We are excited about the roller coaster that is sure to happen with 3u3.
Mommy to N (3), J (2), and C (10 months). LO4 is due in mid-September.

I'm almost there now. No advice because honestly, I'm so incredibly not prepared for #3 but oh well.  I mean how prepared is anyone really!?

  • Should be there in about 8 weeks!  My oldest turns 2 next Tuesday and my youngest turns 1 tomorrow (eeks!!), so age difference, we're pretty close to what you'll be expecting.  I'd say definitely expect pregnancy to be a little tougher.. I found that my body was SO much more tired this time around.. it's much different caring for 2 littles then 1 :)  Wishing you all the best, and hoping to see who else is already on the 3U3 bandwagon!

    My blog about raising 2U2!
  • I will have 3u4 in January and the youngest 2 will be 2u2 again. We were trying for that spacing and are very excited- we'll see how it goes! ;) best of luck and congrats!!
  • I just found out that we'll become 3U3 in April 2015.  My first two are 12.5 months apart.  This new one will be 17 months younger than my middle one.  I'm going to grab on, pour on the love, and pray for sanity.

  • Following - we'll be 3 under 4 this March.  First two are 23 months apart and this baby will be 20 months younger than his younger big brother.  I'm totally overwhelmed!
  • @fiscally3‌ that's similar to our age gaps... 23 month then 18... I'm so crazy (hence the screen name) we're back again with a 16.5 gap!! And my first three are all girls (sounds like yours are boys.... But I'm mobile and can't be sure B-) )

Absolutely in love with our 'big' family!

I'm also a proud Auntie to a crazy little girl, her brand new baby sister, a little man on his way in the next month, and a sweet little mister we will miss forever!!!
  • @krazyinsane So far all boys - MIL is predicting this one will be a boy too since she has 3 boys, I wish we could figure out sooner so I can figure out room arrangements (the two boys share, but if this baby is a boy, the oldest will get the spare room, if a girl baby gets the spare room.)  We also adopted a puppy in may (baby was a surprise, the puppy was supposed to keep us occupied until we were ready for a third).  I'd love to have 4 or 5 kids, but I was hoping for a break!
  • Funny how that never works! We have two dogs (German Shorthaired Pointers) and going on four kids. We're also in a 3 bedroom but one is currently an office and will stay that way until DS is at least year old since the girls share a king size mattress on the floor and we co-sleep for a year.

  • Just take it in stride. When the trips were born, we were 4u17mos. Lots of flexibility. . It's a learning experience!

  • I'm actually a ftm but I'm a nanny for two little girls- 9 months and 16 months (for those who do the math- it's a nanny share!) I will be bringing my baby to work with me so starting around September I will have three under three for most of the day! I'm looking to you mom's who do it 24/7 for advice! Sorry I don't have any advice for you- but if I learn anything along the way I'll be sure to share :)
  • We are planning our third.... it be 3U3.5... and I feel kinda crazy, scared and super excited! Wish there was more information on this leap in our lives! -following! :-)
