Just got home from my NT scan. All measurements looked good, baby had a heartbeat of 155, and I had blood drawn for the Panorama test.
Doctor also took a look at the baby's heart (we have a history, for those who don't know) which I was NOT expecting. Of course my mind went immediately to the thought that he was only looking because he saw something wrong. BUT he said so far everything looks good! He said he could see crossing vessels and the aorta. Gives me a little peace of mind while I wait two more weeks for CHOP.
He also said it's a boy. I asked "isn't it too early to tell?" but he seemed sure. The doctor, not a tech. I'm still waiting for panorama results to confirm before I tell anyone that, though.
Sorry for the novel, but I'm finally feeling a little hopeful and excited!

I go in for my 3rd appointment tomorrow, which will be my last with my doctor. I will be 12 weeks and I'm hoping to hear the heartbeat. I haven't heard it yet so i'm super excited to. I did have an ultrasound and blood work at 8 weeks so i'm looking forward to hearing the results from that.
I have my 12 week appointment this Thursday (I'll be 12 w 3 d). I'm nervous to put it mildly. Really wishing I had bought an at home doppler right now.
I will be one day shy of 14 weeks at my appointment on Wednesday. Excited to hear the heart beat! We haven't heard it yet, only have seen the flicker on the ultrasound 4 weeks ago!
We just had the NT scan today and it went really well. I have been worried about the possibility of spina bifida since my mother has it, so I got some reassurance today. The tech couldn't see baby's back very well because of the positioning, but she checked the brain and said that there wasn't anything to indicate SB so far. She made us promise not to paint the nursery, but guessed that it's a boy. We're not taking it too seriously, but it is fun to think about. I hope she's right, though, because I can't wait to buy the shark sheets from Pottery Barn Kids after our anatomy scan.
We had our second appt today. We opted out of the NT scan and all. So while we didnt have an ultrasound, we did get to hear the babys heartbeat!! It was 170!! Our OB said she guesses girl. She said "Now don't go out and paint the nursery, but when it is this high, it is typically a girl". EEEEEEEK!! yay!
First ultrasound is Friday!! I can't get excited for this pregnancy until I have a successful u/s. First pregnancy I found out id miscarried at this appt so I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the best!
Aug 6th is our 2nd appointment. I'll be 12 weeks. No clue what's gonna happen probably hear blood and Pap test results. Hopefully ultrasound so I can see how big my gummy bear has changed. Best wishes for you other ladies as well
We had our nt scan yesterday and it went well. I wasn't so nervous because I didn't know I was getting the nt, I thought it was just a normal ultrasound. HB was 165. Baby measured right on schedule and nt measurement was 1.3. So glad we got it done now. It was so great to see my happy baby!
Had our appointment this morning. The panorama results came back normal yay. They couldn't find the heartbeat with Doppler so he did a quick ultrasound which was nice. It looked like a little person this time and the hb looked good.
And we are having a girl :-)
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

We opted out of all genetic testing so we just heard the heartbeat today in the 160s. Doc said it was perfect. Now I'm just annoyed because I'm bleeding from my Pap smear. I know it's normal but I still hate seeing it. Also, I'm planning to tell my boss today and am freaking out!!! I'm a temporary employee and just interviewed to become permanent yesterday, but I think honesty is the best policy.
Can't wait to meet our darling daughter, Abigail Elizabeth
I posted this on the NT appointment page as well, but like another poster said, I'm AW-ing it a little!
12w1d and the first ultrasound/heartbeat check, along with NT scan. I did have blood work done at 8 weeks, and more today. NT scan came back normal, with measurements well within the normal/no-concern range. I will have to get two additional ultrasounds at 16 and 20 weeks because I had some issues a few years ago that have caused my OB to want to check the length of my cervix. Right now everything is pointing to no reason for concern and the extra peek won't disappoint me! Oh yeah, just one in there with a hR of 159.

I love this update!! So glad everything is looking good with baby so far!
I just got back from my 12 week appointment. Baby's heart rate was 154. I also had my blood draw for the MaterniT21 test. She said the results will take anywhere from 3-10 days. I will be not so patiently waiting for that call.
I had GD last time so I had to go for the Glucose test today and failed it miserably with a 209! So now I have to of course cut back on the carbs and check my numbers. I was also told I have to go for a fetal echocardiogram at 20 weeks to get a complete scan on babies heart. I am very nervous about this as it will be at the hospital with a pediatric cardiologist. So here is to keeping my sugars in check and a good echo at 20 weeks!
I am so excited we have our appt tomorrow (12w4d). We'll get to an US, some more bloodwork. Hoping for all good news!! Any T's & P's are appreciated!!
We haven't heard the heartbeat since 8wks, so I am a bit nervous!! I really think I want to get one of those heartbeat monitors, because some mornings I wake up feeling "not pregnant" ugh! FTM so nervous all the time!!

You are not alone! I have GD and have to have a fetal echo around 20 weeks also. Echos aren't bad. It's just like an in depth ultrasound focusing only on the baby's heart.
FlowerPower16 This helps me relax a little. I had it last time but did not find out until the 28 week mark so there was nothing about an echo. It just freaked me out this morning when I heard her say "And we do things differently when you are diagnosed so early like a fetal echo to check on the heart at the hospital with a specialist" Just to hear that was a shock to the system. I am glad I know of another early GD mama on here!
Had my 12 week appointment today and all went well! She had to really search around for the heartbeat, which did freak me out a little, but she found it and said it sounded great. Whew. This is starting to feel real.
January siggy challenge: Tying my own damn shoes again.
Had our 12 week today, all looks good! Found a hb of 150 with dopplar and got to see it again! Still feels odd knowing that little life is buried in there. Don't know if this will feel real until I can feel it. Still very relived to see all is well
Had my physical today and everything went great. Heard the heartbeat for the first time which was 153 bpm! Blood pressure was a little high at 140/84 so they are going to keep an eye on it and send me for monthly bloodwork. So happy to know everything is on track as it was a while since my ultrasound when we saw it at 9 weeks. 14 weeks Friday and counting
I had my appointment today. I will be 14 weeks tomorrow. She could not find the heartbeat with the Doppler so she brought in the old us machine again. This happened last time too 4 weeks ago. It was nice though because the FI and I got to see our LO again! We didnt think we would until the 20 week anatomy scan. We decided against the 12 week NT scan. It was moving all around waving and stuff!! It was so cool!! She said the heartbeat looked strong but I do have a tilted uterus and that is most likely why she cant find it.
Went for my first appt today. Everything looked great. I'm 12w3d and baby measured 12w5d. Heartrate was 158. I feel so relieved now to have seen my little peanut moving around!! The only thing that has me slight concerned is now I'm spotting. I'm trying to remind myself it's probably that my cervix is irritated from the transvaginal ultrasound and the vaginal check :-/
We had our NT appointment today, just shy of 13 weeks. The appointment itself was great -- everything looks normal and standard for where we should be right now.
It's funny though how, for us this second time around, we're so much more blasé about it all. Not that we're not excited, but we spent most of the appointment cracking jokes, and then when we went into the waiting room for a moment, there was an adorable couple there having what was obviously a very meaningful moment with their heads bent over their ultrasound photo. Whereas we were debating where to go for lunch.
PS the doctor, who apparently has a 95% prediction rate (my OBGYN says if he can't tell at this stage, he'll just flat out tell you that he's not able to say), says it's another girl! An exciting thought to ponder!

Had my 12 week checkup with my doctor. First time that I actually got to meet up. I am so happy with him. Really nice guy that is laid back and has a sense of humor. Helped me relax quite a bit! He didn't measure to make sure I am on track. But, I was measured at 8 weeks and was right on schedule. Doctor did an ab u/s so my hubby could see the baby since he missed the last appointment. Baby is curled way up in a ball and we saw the heartbeat. I was sent home with 20+ different samples of rx prenatals. Who knew that many existed. Good day today for us and we are finally telling everyone! Hoping everyone is having positive appointments this week!
We had our 13 wk appt on Monday. Went well. We both LOVE our doctor! He's chill and hilarious and experienced and loves natural Labors. Should be a fun party! Had a swig at the heartbeat on Doppler and pointed out cord and placenta, which was cool to hear. BP great. And got some screening tests ordered. Planning our mind way point U/S. Will be cool, but we don't want to know gender, so hopefully baby hides him/herself. Only downer is I got food poisoning on Fri pm. It got better, but is worse again tonight. Ugh. I should call the doctor right? Or go in if I can't keep any water in me?
I have my 12 week appt today (12w 3d) and I feel sick to my stomach over it. I am a nervous wreck. I know a lot of people love appt days but I pretty much hate them. I am supposed to have lunch with my mom afterwards and was excited to tell her but now I'm feeling like I need to prepare for the worst. Does anyone else get like this on appt days?
We met our genetics counsellor yesterday, and gave blood for two tests, the Harmony test and a test for fused chromosomes in the parents (because we've had a couple of MCs). The guy we talked to was very thorough, took our family history and did a great job explaining the Harmony screen, and our chances for other birth defects - both my father and I have bilateral cleft lip and palate, so our little one has about a 6% chance of having one as well. We planned a 20 week ultrasound to look for cleft, and for any other abnormalities. I am feeling more stressed after the appointment than I was before, I think just talking about all the possible ways things can go wrong made me more nervous, although I'd absolutely rather be informed. More than likely, everything will be fine. And since I have a cleft lip and palate myself, the idea of the little one having that birth defect isn't scary to me at all, I know that while it definitely affects your life, it is not that big a deal once you get all the surgeries over with. So we are now waiting to hear back about the Harmony results - fingers crossed for everything to be low risk. And looking forward to learning the sex
3 hours until our appt! I'm so anxious! I just want to see my Littles and my doctor already!
