Ok, today will be my 6th day of stims. I had an appointment yesterday and my E2 was 879 which she said was good.. I had 13 follies above 10 mm (4 on the right and 9 on the left) and about 20 more that are smaller than 10 mm. The nurse said this was a good start. No clue yet what this means in terms of potential ER. Any thoughts? I go back tomorrow morning.

All of a sudden yesterday I got really nervous! Like now I have all these follies in me and there's nothing to do but more forward, right? I'm feeling sooo nervous about ER which I don't understand why because I've heard how well you all have done and I wasn't even this nervous for the actual surgery I had last year!

QOTD: I am in significant need of a vacation or getaway, so what I would put $1,000 toward. We have an out of state wedding for my BIL in September, but I have a feeling that is not going to suffice, lol... plus my DH is the best man so I'm assuming he'll be busy doing stuff, and I think I am going to have to hang out with my BIL's good female friend who is going to travel there herself and will need someone else to hang out in the days leading up to the wedding. I want a real vacay with just me and DH doing whatever we want to do.

Today is my 35th birthday (sigh) and I'm officially AMA. But at least I'm spending it the best way possible! We are going to dinner at Bonefish (thank goodness this new medicine is working and I can eat) after I go and pick up my brand new Jeep! My H went and did all the paperwork yesterday while I was at work so that he could surprise me and I could get it today. This is pretty much the best birthday ever (especially because I'll definitely be sober

).

Back out of MIA status. Life was absolutely insane before we decided to go forward with IVF this cycle. We had a come-to-Jesus talk with our RE and from there on out everything is going really well with him. (My AF was missing, I was panicking about OHSS later on due to high AMH, etc etc etc) He was very re-assuring, called me at home, addressed the concerns, and then my follow-up appointments went exactly as he predicted once my AF started. So, all in all, I calmed down and decided to get back on the proverbial horse.

jencity9 ) I was not feeling good AT ALL about my low dose. (More skepticism and self-doubt. Noticing a theme?) Our ultrasound yesterday really blew my mind though. At least 20 follicles- I tried to keep track of the sizes but almost all he called out were 9, 10 or 11. (One 12 on my left side.) Lining is 8.5, which RE is happy about. My E2 is fine. (I can't believe I forgot to ask for an exact number. Probably better off...) We actually don't go back again until Monday. RE would have wanted to see me tomorrow if my E2 was off, but as it is, he's got me coming Monday at 8:30. Otherwise, we start Ganirelix tomorrow and will do that until the Ovidrel shot. He's guesstimating ER for Wednesday. I'm going to press the idea of assisted hatching with our RE and see what his thoughts are. Initially he said he didn't think we needed it, but for an extra $500 I can't really see why you wouldn't do it. Maybe I'm missing something...

If I had $1,000? I would have a very hard time not paying a bill with it. But vacation. Vacation would be nice.

As an aside, has anyone ever done or heard of doing melatonin during IVF? I read a study from 2010 about success rates for melatonin cycles and that made me move on to my next panicky idea that my chronic insomnia is going to funk up our egg quality.

Looks like good progress @jencity9 I hope those follies keep up the good work until ER, and that you don't start to get uncomfortable.

@LO95, great that you've starting stims! As for the assisted hatching, my RE also said he didn't think we would need it, but he let me sign the option that if it was needed they would do it.

Still sitting in the 2WW. Getting ready to move house exactly a week from today!! This time next week I'll be in closing settlement!

QOTD: It's a shame that this is a very easy question for me to answer. I would put it towards a Prada Saffiano Vernice Double zip bag, mini or executive, in tan, turquoise, or cobalt.

Great progress on the stims @jencity9

I am 1DP5DT and I have a feeling this is going to be a loooong wait. I am already trying to figure out when I can POAS. We have a wedding the night of my beta and my plan is that if I am not pregnant we are getting a hotel room in the city and I am getting drunk!

QOTD: I would definitely go on a much needed vacation. I am thinking it would go towards Aruba.

I said this before and I will say it again, the thread is for all of us Sparklers regardless of outcome. I think each and every one of us has a right to express how we feel, about our progress and outcome.

@Grailseeker14 I also took a look at our stats and noticed that the board is heavy to the 2WW and BFP. I also know that odds say that it might not stay that way for long.

I have had a lot of crap go down in my life over the last 3 years TTC. To the point that DH says I have become a pessimist, always looking for the ax to fall. So I have been trying my hardest to err on the bright side. As we all know, that is hard to do with IF. SO I always am willing to offer my creepy internet hugs to whomever, if having a bad IF day, or got some bad news, or is just scared in general, because none of us know what's to come.

Hi ladies. I can be moved to the BFN list with @denbk. You are correct, statistically speaking, it is inevitable that not all of us will get BFPs.

CD 1 was yesterday, but I didn't want to post until I had official confirmation. Our FET cycle will begin on Sunday with BCPs and our transfer date is set for 9/17.

Good luck to everyone else. I hope there are no more BFNs.

I agree, this board is for the whole group and to support everyone no matter what the outcome.Although I wish everyone could get a BFP, statistically, 40-50% could not.

I don't know how to have faith in the next fresh cycle (had none to freeze). Why would it work if this one didn't? I thought I understood so much about all this but I really know nothing.

@jencity9‌ Thank you. Yes, IVF follow-up appointment on Monday. Will probably start another fresh cycle. But, that's our last chance (financially). Unless we are lucky enough to have some freeze this time.

AFM I am 5dp5dt and holding strong. I have random cramps on and off. Everything I feel I think oh maybe I am. I'm trying to go Beta or bust but I feel this weekend I might cave in.

I had another monitoring appt today and I now have 24 follies over 10 mm (didn't get details, just that 11 on one side and 13 on the other). My e2 is 2065 which is good but on the high end so I am decreasing my Follistim and going back tomorrow for another u/s and b/w. Tonight is day 7 of stims so I'm a little worried that it's going too fast. But I'm still feeling fine so that's good.

Just got home from the RE again... RE thinks I will have ER on Tuesday pending results of b/w. I am so nervous about ER! (LOL just noticed this post is all about the RE and ER hehe... Wonder what someone would think if they overheard me saying all this out loud)

For me: **pregnancy mentioned** nothing new. Just waiting to go to the dr on Thursday. I had my first remark from someone that made me want to lose it. I told a close friend at work thinking she would be happy knowing all ive gone through the past 2 years. Im not telling anyone yet at work. She started out with congrats then says something to the effect of "well unless something bad happens" WHAT!?! why would you say that?!? I didnt know what to say back, I just walked away. Guess she wasnt as close a friend as I thought.

@jencity9‌ - sounds great! FX that everything goes smoothly! I think ER was only as bad as it was for me due to the fact that I had many follicles where the eggs were 'stuck' so they kept flushing/aspirating them over and over.

@Bcara11‌ - major kudos to you if you can go beta or bust

@jessimi06‌ -- I always had a steadfast 12dpo rule, because I know how rare it is to get good news before that...try to hold out a little longer! At least you know the trigger is gone!
