preschool book recommendations

My DS will be starting pt preschool in Sept. Wondering if there's any favorite books out there that are cute to read to get them ready for preschool. I have seen kindergarten ones but wasn't sure if there are ones more for 3 year olds, etc.

Re: preschool book recommendations

  • We have Llama Llama Misses Mama and it's about Lama's first day of school.  Both of my kids really like the Llama books and this is one of their favorites.

It's basically Llama goes to school and is upset because everything is new and different and he misses his mama.  And then his new friends help him have fun and play and he starts to enjoy school more and then his mama comes back.  It's a pretty simple story without a true resolution but my kids love it and always get excited when Mama comes back.  I got it for DD for Christmas and she started preschool in January.  Good luck.

This was also going to be my recommendation. We also really like the Kissing Hand.
