This being baby #3 I'm still on the less is more kick. We have just painted the baby's room today and only have a dresser. Maybe I will order the crib soon....I have it picked out at least! I feel bad when I see some of you have completed your nursery already!! Oh well...less is more! LOL
We picked up paint yesterday and a friend is coming over to help us move all the heavy furniture to my MIL's, where she is being so nice to store it until it sells (we don't have a garage or any extra space in our condo to hold it).
DH and I also made a quick trip to Ikea to pick up all the frames for the wall art. He was shocked to see a total of $85 just for frames.... I just laughed at him. He really has no concept of how much things cost. He thought our $200 glider/ottoman set was expensive. [-X
Next weekend is painting (only one large wall to cover up an existing accent wall) and cleaning the carpet in both the nursery and living/dining room. Then all that's left is painting the crib and putting everything together/organizing!

How are you painting your crib? We have a darker color crib from ds and I really wanted to try to paint it white but I'm not sure exactly.
@Heartwood0519 I love your nursery! I'm doing nautical theme also. Where did you get that octopus painting that is on the ground next to the door? I love it!
@willamina28 thank you! I got the octopus at Target. It was on clearance, but you might be able to find it online!
We just built the boys' bunk beds the other day, but we're house/dog sitting at my parents' house this week so they haven't even slept in it yet. I guess well be starting the transition of getting DS2 into DS1's room once we get home. Hopefully freeing up the nursery will get me in "baby prep mode" because other than a few things I've found on sale, baby girl doesn't have much. Less than 3 months!
This is where I'm at, too, @mel689. Keep us posted on moving the boys in together-I'm kind of dreading it. I'm afraid they won't sleep!
Well, we have his nursery done. Crib. mattress, bedding set and extra sheets, blackout curtains, dresser, and storage bins for books and toys.
I've been holding off on buying him clothes until after my shower, but I did buy him some 3 month old adorable polo shoes that were on sale at our local Sam's club. He will wear them in his 3 month photos. Also, looking at those tiny shoes just makes me smile.
@lct2008 My dad builds and refinishes furniture and well be helping me with the painting, because honestly I have no clue what I'm doing! I know there'll be some light sanding to ruff up the surfaces, but haven't the faintest as far as how to get a nice smooth finish on the paint.
@pushgal84 that is so nice to have his help! Well id love to see how your project goes so keep us updated. Do you know what kind of crib you are redoing already? I have a Graco crib now which is why I'm wondering if I'll be able to do it. We shall see how ambitious I am feeling. Especially since I won't have dh around soon to help.
My absolute favorite thing so far is the new Peg perego primo viaggio 4-35 in onyx infant car seat. Waiting on my white Oeuf crib before really working on nursery but have a few things set in there. Also love my baby jogger versa stroller ready for a stroll. Target has helped to stock up on some Honest brand diapers which they had a coupon recently.
I have bought tons of clothes, hair bows, shoes, blankets, bibs, and some pacifiers. I have had several different people give me clothes, diaper genie, blankets, and other stuff. We have started painting her room and will hopefully get it done this weekend. I have also bought an old dresser that I had painted pink and converted into a changing table. I am using a crib from my sister. I have also bought a car seat at a yard sale for my husband to keep in his car. I am having a shower next month, but I still feel like there is so much to do with very little time.
