T&P Please

DH just lost his job.  I've posted a few places here that I'm planning to go back to school in September.  Everyone I've talked to has categorically agreed that I should still plan on doing that.  My job before mat leave was pretty dead end and meant lots of hours for very little pay (despite the fact that I needed a Master's to get it! Science sucks!).  So we may have to go on social assistance to make ends meet unless DH gets a new job soon.  We went from everything being great and looking wonderful to not knowing how we'll afford food and diapers past September.  And worse still he lost his job for a shit reason because of a manager who is playing politics and being a control freak.  I'm trying to be optimistic but it's tough.  TIA for your good vibes!

    I'm so sorry to hear this. It sucks big time. Do whatever you can/have to just to keep your heads afloat until things work themselves out, which they will. T's and p's coming your way, just remember it's just a temporary situation.

    So sorry you are having to go through this. Life really sucks sometimes and it is sure full of it's ups and downs. Hopefully everything gets sorted out and things start looking up soon!

    Thanks so much @KCLeaSLP. That's very sweet of you but we are still breastfeeding.  Hoping to transition to WCM soon. DS has some milk protein allergies so if we did formula it would have to be a specialized kind.  I will probably do a mix of WCM and breastmilk to keep costs down.

    Sorry to hear that - it's always scary when things like this happen but you seem to have a good plan and a great relationship and i feel like things will work out for you guys. It's only temporary. Thoughts and prayers for you all!
