Hello! I'm new here. I had a baby last October. 5 months after her birth I found out I was expecting again. I was thrilled!! I had a us and it showed a baby measuring 2 weeks behind and no heartbeat. My doctor made me come back two weeks later. There was the baby with a heartbeat this time. I just thought I ovulated late. Two weeks after the last ultrasound I started spotting pink. I wasn't too worried because I bled with my daughter. A few weeks later my symptoms had went away and I knew something was wrong. I went to my doctor's office, they did an ultrasound and the baby had no heartbeat measuring 8 weeks. They discovered I had ovulated on time just something wrong with the baby. I decided to have a D&C. I'm two months post D&C and my period seems to be out of whack. My first period post D&C came 4 weeks exactly after the procedure. It started out as spotting the day before then a full blown period. I'm suppose to be starting tomorrow and I've been spotting the past two days with cramping but not a full AF. Is this normal? My doctor did an ultrasound yesterday and found follicles on my left ovary and what appeared to be a blood clot in my lining. He said by the way it looks my period will be starting soon. I'm suppose to be starting tomorrow. He did a pregnancy test and that came back negative. I've never spotted before my period so I'm a bit confused. We're goning to be trying next cycle if I feel my body is
ready. Thanks all!
Re: New here warning living child mentioned
I'm sorry for your loss. The spotting you're experiencing is not uncommon. Cycles can change at any time, especially after a loss.
Please edit your title to include a warning since you mentioned your daughter, ex. :"Warning: living child mentioned."

When was your last period?
Standard advice seems to be to call your doctor if you hit 60 days without a period. I probably wouldn't worry about making another appointment yet. The fact that you're cramping and spotting, though, probably means your period will show up within the next few days.

I think you're really jumping the gun with that last statement. You just had a baby 10 months ago. Yes, you had a loss, and that's a difficult thing to deal with, but it doesn't mean that you won't be able to have any more children. Also, just because your period hasn't shown up yet doesn't mean that your cycles are super abnormal. You just had a period 27 days ago.
Please be mindful that there are many of us here who have been TTC for a long time (years), many have had multiple losses, most don't have any living children, and some are looking at the real possibility of not ever being able to have any children.

I get that it can be concerning when your body starts to act differently, but spotting and cramps when your period is due is normal, even if you don't usually have spotting.

Ditto @Megdowntheshore, and @CFearsy.
You didn't mention your IF struggles initially, so to me, it looked like a post from a woman who gave birth less than a year ago and had a period less than a month ago complaining that she might not be able to have any more children.
If you feel like this board isn't for you, fine, but I really think you need to spend some time lurking to get a better feel for the board. You may find it helpful.

So I'm not allowed to explain my thinking?
There's no need for the attitude. I wasn't rude to you.
ETA: Also, you're contradicting yourself. You're saying that you shouldn't have come here and that you know to never ask anything again, but then you're saying, "I told you I'm gonna look around." My point was that you might find this board helpful, but you seem to have already made up your mind about it.

But I told you everything. I tried my best to explain.Yes, you explained after the fact. I am explaining what my thoughts were prior to you giving us the additional details.
Either way, I'm going to step away from this thread because we're going in circles. Honestly, you should do the same. If you plan on sticking around (which I'm not sure if you are or not), you don't want this thread to continue in the direction it's going.

I've been trying to back out. I'm sorry it just upsets me when you ask a question and people sit there and bash you. I don't know I've never been put through this before I've tried asking my doctor and with the health insurance we have, we have to go through a whole lot to switch but I guess I'll be doing that anyways. That's why I came here to ask. I told the truth what I went through eventually because I don't like talking about what I went through with this. Ya know whatever I say it's all wrong anyways. Thanks for helping.
