Babys length measuring behind

Ok! So! My doctor goes off my period due date..september 4th. But at my ultrasounds they tell me im due september 11th..my first question is, who do i base my due date off of?!
And second...at my 33 week checkup (ultrasound due date) he told me my daughter was measuring at a 32 week baby length...which in his note would be a 2 week difference..but to me its only one week..and now im worried and dont know who to believe because i have two different due dates and hes confusing me...

Also, babies are born at all different sizes, right? Like, there are 7 pound babies and there are 9 pound babies. So at some point in your pregnancy your baby is going to start being bigger or smaller than the "average". Your 10,000 other opinions are also going to be that this is totally normal. -

OP at my last u/s my babies head measured 4 weeks ahead, her belly was a week behind, and her femur was a week ahead. Don't take those measurements super seriously because babies come in lots of shapes and sizes. My doctors aren't concerned about a 4 week difference, so I wouldn't be too worried.
As far as the dates, it is common for doctors to change to the u/s date if it is over 7 days difference from your LMP edd. (I'm in the exact same boat but my doctor went with the later date instead of the earlier one). Since you are right on that 7 day cusp, it's really up to the doctor to choose which to go with. It doesn't really matter much unless he starts talking induction or c section like immediately on after the earlier date. 2)honey, a week behind all of a sudden is NOTHING. And please don't freak out about this. Now if baby was measuring a full month behind, then we may have something to worry about, but at that point your doc would have put you on extra monitoring by now.3) if this was his first timemeasuring you, it's not like you were all of a sudden a week behind, your baby probably is just on the smaller side. You have nothing to compare it to. It's not like she's just stopped growing

The further you get in pregnancy, the less accurate ultrasounds are for dating a pregnancy. That's why most dating ultrasounds are done very early in the first trimester. At this point, there is a lot of variation in the sizes of babies. Most doctors won't change your due date based on a late ultrasound.It sounds like your early ultrasound put you at a week later than your LMP EDD. My early ultrasounds were all 4-5 days behind, but my doctor doesn't change your official EDD unless the early scans are more than a week off.I wouldn't stress about it.

As for everyone else who doesnt have an extra large stick shoved up their behind, thank you for your advice. I appreciate it and feel much better now!
Someone had asked about what i meant by "i have no patience for that" i just meant i have no patience to wait for my doctors appointment, my due date on the other hand can take as long as it needs to come! I want a happy healthy baby, which explains why the slightest week off in length has worried me! Ive never done this before!
But again..anyone who was NICE, thank you for taking the time to make me feel better about what hes said

5. And becuase I want to be in the super cool nice-to-you group... Early U/Ss are more trustworthy in telling you the age of your unborn child than LMP and later growth checks. HTH.

I'm 5'2" on my right leg, and only 5' on my left. My life has been an uphill battle. And now to find out there is someone out there 5" and 7" taller than me.... I feel ruined.
But if you trust internet strangers over the medical team you chose that's your journey.

Sorry if I came off as harsh, but your post was super dramatic for no apparent reason. The best anyone here can do for you is to say to talk to your doctor and ask your questions - and you already did that.
Also, if you've been around here AT ALL EVER you would have heard lots of discussion about how due dates are rarely changed based on these late measurements.
So chill.
Babies vary widely at this point and measurements can be in accurate. I will always remember my good friend coming to my classroom freaking out because she was measuring 40 at 35 weeks and baby's estimated size was like 8 pounds at the point.
Her baby was 6 pounds 10 oz.
So chill. And don't go calling @mrsdanielleM2010 names. Just not cool and not going to help your cause at all.
Also, i know this is the only thread ive participated in, but honestly i just feel stupid asking questions on threads. I usually go to my doctor like your all telling me to do, but i figured such a small issue id leave him alone and ask other moms for their opinion since they have past experience. I use these apps to show the cute little fruit and size of my baby and to keep track of how many weeks i am, i really dont pay attention to the community part because i have no wisdom to lend so i assume no one wants my opinion anyways
So, wether it was mice or harsh, thank you all for your time and your opinions
