I am calling for an indulgent weekend ladies. Eat cheesecake, sleep in, neglect chores, take a long bath, don't bath/shower at all....whatever gets your rocks off and then report back here.
My weekend:
Heading to the states to outlet shop.
Making and then eating an entire cheesecake.
Watching Frozen with my 14 mo even though there is supposed to be no screen time before 2.
Saturday is my birthday (hooray!) So, I will definitely be having an indulgent weekend.
Tomorrow, lunch with a pregnant friend, pedicures and then a fancy-schmancy dinner with DH; Saturday furniture shopping, pregnant friend's shower, then dinner and going to see Smokey Robinson with my Mom and sis. I'm excited!
@LaxMOM44 your weekend sounds great! Especially the cheesecake.
but, no screen time until 2??? I don't think I could make it that long even I tried. I hope that doesn't include their first 3 months... I'll need something to watch when they are feeding constantly.
I will be working on our house remodeling all weekend. Which is very frustrating because before being knocked up I did most of the work for all our remodels. Now dh doesn't want me doing most stuff, so I'm feeling useless. But I will be building a bookcase, and a bench for our mudroom, and hopefully tearing out a wall too make our bathroom and the closet in the baby's room bigger! I'm sure I'll be eating a lot of junk though!
I love this! Someone is coming to clean our place this weekend (since the owners are selling), so I get to relax while someone else does the dirty work. That alone is all the indulgence I need
Our #2 is on the way!

I'm already having a lazy Thursday. Had a friends low key bachelorette last night and I was DD. Didn't get home until 1:45am therefore took my time getting up and am still on the couch! Opps!
Ugh, I'm going camping in a tent with a 3 y.o. for a family reunion with family I haven't seen in 20 years and don't know. I am going to play the pregnancy card and sit back and let everyone do everything for me though.

I love this idea--now I can't think of all the best ways to indulge myself. I think I'll start tomorrow AM with a chocolate croissant on the side of my latte. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Edit: I meant 'I can't stop thinking'!

This just made me so sad, I used to get one every Thursday (Thursday mornings dh would wake up to remind me it was croissant day) but my favorite bakery closed and there is no other decent place to get one.
@Heidig14 Oh no! I'm sorry to have made you sad. You should indulge in double of something that's available in recompense. Maybe one of these slushees that everyone has been referencing in the GTKY thread. Now I want to figure out where to get one for myself.
Also I'm very impressed with your remodeling abilities. I wish I could make a bench--that's actually been one of my long-term goals, to learn how to make things with my own two hands (this has led to an intermittent pottery hobby, but I digress).

My husband works weekends, so it's just me and the kiddo. I get to "indulge" during nap time, which means doing laundry, preparing dinner, straightening up the house, and washing dishes. If the little monster sleeps more than an hour, I can usually put my feet up for a few minutes and read a book or watch some TV, but that's about it.
@twolittledogs - people used to tell me all the time to "enjoy it while you can" before I had my daughter. Now I totally get it. I can't even go to the bathroom in peace anymore! But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Nice idea! I'm kicking off the weekend with a manicure tmr, then a fancy wedding Saturday night, followed by a 6 a.m. flight out to NY for a family reunion. I'm planning to indulge at the reunion by relaxing on the shore and reading books and being completely disconnected from the internet/phone/tv for 5 days. Ahhhhh.....
Im on board! SO and I are flying to Las Vegas for the Star Trek convention. I am soooooooo looking forward to sleeping in a big king sized comfy bed, hotel sex, sleeping in, eating at some great restaurants, and taking in the nerd fest.
I wish my weekend was going to be indulgent. Instead I am matron of honor in a wedding in a dress that I cannot take a deep breath in. Praying I do not pass out during the ceremony! To top it off both my sons, ages 2 and 5 are in the wedding. Talk about stressful! I can't even look forward to the cake cause my dress is too tight!
