I prefer Mallorie over Mallory, to be honest. I don't think it's a big deal that it's not the 'traditional' way. My name is Rachel and people often write it as Rachael. I just correct and move on. Same can be said for many names. As for personalization, it's so much easier now to just log onto various websites and do it yourself and your daughter will have all the personalization she wants. Meh.
I am team blue... but daddy is team pink.. & we don't find out until end of next month.. boy name is pretty set... but this girl name thing... ugh.. I am not finding anything I love. I like Paisley but I felt that was too common... so I leaning towards Haisley Rey...maybe? We will see what daddy thinks. (Rey for my grandfather, was his middle name)
If we have a girl our definite name is Evangelina Carmen - it means bearer of good news and song! It's special to me because the baby would be named after my grandmother and great-grandmother.
If we have a girl she will be Karolina Blake, Karolina is my grandmothers name. Same as our boy name, we will use the middle name, I don't know why we have done thins lol both just sounded smoother I guess
We are naming her Rachel Lillian, can't decide on back up names nothing else seems to fit for us. On my original list we had Natalie, Audrey, Chloe, Morgan, and Piper.
Seems like we've come to agree on Amelia Rae. I know it's pretty popular but not really in our area. It also still sounds good in Spanish which was a big factor in our name picking.
Manateearmz, I'm a police dispatcher and we have a "regular" we run named Purple Rain. We laugh every single time.
The only name my husband has not shot down instantly and actually gave it a maybe is "Katalina Rosa" (rosa pronounced the traditional Italian way of rah-sa). He's Italian and wants a name that will be easy to pronounce for his side of the family, and mine (I'm Cuban). I also love love love love Layla Rosa but I haven't run that one by him yet. Rosa is non-negotiable because it's his sister's name and she practically raised him because she's about 20 yrs older than he is. Sorry for the TMI.
We named our first daughter
Aubree-Anne. Now have two more on the way and are lost for names.
LOL Yesterday we told my almost 5 yr old daughter whos name is Audrey that we are naming this baby girl Aubrey. She was freaking out. "NO, THATS MY NAME. KIND OF!" She still thinks we are serious, we keep saying Audrey & Aubrey, sisters! Shes not a fan

I know it's not very common, but we love Poppy. We are not official naming her until birth, but this is the forerunner. Poppy Noelle(for the middle name). Thoughts?
@mandylaterveer I also adore Poppy, but I like @danisgossipgirl 's suggestion to use it as a nn for Penelope even more because my only hesitation about Poppy is it's very informal. Penelope would give your daughter a formal option if she wants it.
Baby GIRL born 12/11/14!!
MC @ 8 wks 7/6/13 - ectopic @ 6 wks 12/28/13
In loving memory of sweet baby HP, and all our angel babies. Forever in our hearts.
@megbmeg thanks so much! We just don't really love Penelope that much and don't want to name her something that we aren't going to call her. Plus I fear that with the name Penelope, she will often be nicknamed Penny which I don't like(Penny is also my parent's dog's name and I have often called her Penelope). Thank so much though! I wish there was another name that Poppy could be short for....
We are naming our baby girl Zara Sofia. My best friend introduced DH and I and her name is Sara. The name is kind if after her but we changed it up a bit.
Re: What are you naming your baby girl?
Actually having two of them
