I am 9 wks tomorrow (10 according to my lmp and ovulation pain but baby measures small at 8 wk ultrasound). Anyway, my husband and I were not necessarily "trying" but not necessarily preventing. We wanted a baby but did not want to stress over conceiving. Before I missed my period, there were several different times that we went out with friends for cocktails or wine. It just so happened to be a friends bday, a wedding, and a beach weekend with friends. After I got my positive test I panicked bc I had been drinking more than normal, during the first 2 weeks after conception. My dr told me not to worry bc if I had done damage, the zygote (at the time) most likely would have not been viable and that there was no placenta or umbilical cord then. But I can't help but panic. Does anyone have any experience or make this same mistake before they knew?!
Re: Alcohol
Plenty of people "drink until it's pink" (eg before a positive test) and go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.

Seriously, you're fine and your baby is fine.
During my first pregnancy, I was super strict and did everything right. I can't tell you how much fucking kale I ate. That ended in complete heartbreak and what it taught me is that none of this is under my control. I will be careful this time, but not extreme. Don't beat yourself up...
