I work a whopping 6 hours a week (2 hour shifts for 3 days) and have been wearing the only pair of capris that still fit for a few weeks. I have two pair coming in the mail tomorrow, and I cannot wait.

Oh, question. Do we still do Labor Buddies on TB? We had them on D12, and it was a lot of fun, but I have seen no mention of it here. Is it not a thing any more?

I put my lunch in the microwave today--a Healthy Choice steamer meal that you leave covered while it cooks. It pops from the steam while it's cooking, totally normal. I walked away because it takes a little bit, come back, and there is a paper towel over my already-covered food. Which I did not put there. Someone came in, stopped the microwave and put a paper towel over it, presumably because they thought it was going to make a mess. Someone touched my food!!! Arghh, I am so weirded out and irritated. I wadded up the paper towel and left it on the freaking counter.
Not cool... I hate it when co-workers touch my food
A labor buddy is another mom from your BMB, preferably with a EDD that is not near yours (in case you are both in labor at the same time), who can communicate to the board for you while you are in labor. It is typically someone who you have some things in common with. It is nice because you have someone to send a quick text to if you aren't sure something is normal, but don't want to spam the board with it.
I was in a trio of LB and one of the girls and I still text on a daily basis, and GTG every now and then (we live about 3 hours away). It is a nice way to bring you closer to some of the other moms here.

I want a labor buddy! Who wants to be mine? I enjoy long drinks on the beach, shamefully playing the new Kim Kardashian Hollywood game, and getting way too worked up about football.

BAHAHA I started my want ad for a D12 LB almost the same exact way.

Also, I'm wearing elastic band mat pants...and they are too tight I've managed to hold off in buying anything new since last pregnancy...but the time is approaching. I wish Target would get some new stuff already.
So, I've been craving chocolate, peanut butter, and milk. I have found the perfect way to solve this- an Oreo dipped in peanut butter and then dunked in milk. It's amazing. Also Reece Cup ice cream is pretty satisfying.

My husband started temping today. (He was laid off last month) Im really proud of him for being willing to do anything he has to to support our family right now. He has to work 330-2am at a factory running machinery, im a nervous wreck about it but i know that he'll be okay. Its so different from the 830-430 office environment that we are used to and since i work nights (very part time and weekends) i have no idea what will happen if i have to work a shift during the week yet. (I dont have any shows booked during the week in August so hopefully he'll be back in an office by September when my job picks up for fall season)
Its also no benefits because its temp work and he carried our insurance (which expires end of the month)

YES! I have never seen those, but I will order them off Amazon if I have to.
This is an AW post and I already talked about it in the appointments thread, but whatevs...
Had our NT screen and everything measured right where it should! Tiny baby was lounging around with his/her hand tucked behind its head -- exactly what DH does when he relaxes/sleeps. It was very funny to see! Hooray for good results
What a perfect little picture!!! I love this!!!! Congrats on your results!!!
-I go on a mini vacation in 2 days and am 0% prepared.
Im taking applications for a LB. My edd is 2/7, so preferably someone who is due around 2/20ish i guess :-/

My new creation that I came up with this weekend, perfect to satisfy your salty/sweet cravings
Take a bowl of buttered popcorn, I used the Bow Chicka Bow Brand which is lightly buttered and salted (and like 40 cal a cup).
Melt about 3 tablespoons of Nutella in the microwave, and drizzle over popcorn....

I was thinking about putting in an application, but then I saw that you were still losing to thegoodpotato in the MOD race, and I wanted to get the extra special treatment only a mod can provide.

Sounds amaze-balls... usually throw M&Ms in my fresh hot popcorn, the melted chocolate clumps stuck to the popcorn is so good.

I took a glance at the breastfeeding thread when it initially posted. I saw that the OP was relaying someone else's stupid comment so I didn't really see the potential in a debate. I haven't gone back to it since love titting the 2nd or 3rd comment about just feed your baby...that is what matters.
So, the point - what are people still talking about with 75+ new comments?
I am surprised we haven't attracted the attention of parenting yet....

You gotta give me a recap unless there is something actually good happening in there that I need to read. Does it turn into a BF v FF debate? Or does it stay focused on the dude being an ass for making the saggy boob comment?
Bf v FF debate. But, most are of the mind that it doesn't matter - not worth it.

It turns into a mild debate, as in one poster defending her "opinion" that FF is a bad choice. So poorly phrased comments equating FF to anti-vaxing.
it doesn't get that exciting though, probably not parenting intervention worthy.

My opinion offended the majority. So it's mostly people letting me that I was being offensive and that they disagree with me.
The rest is saying that a man has no right to dictate his wife's boob usage.
Husband's mom just told us that her cancer is back (Ovarian Cancer, 4th Round). Sucky, sucky, shitty.
We moved from Chicago to Austin because my Mom had Stage 4 Breast cancer (2nd Round). She is now - miraculously - in remission. I'm too exhausted and emotional to make any decisions now, but would not be opposed to moving back to be near his mom again.
Boo.
Wow.. that is a ton for you to handle. Thoughts and prayers for you and your fam in this difficult time.
My pants are so tight. I kinda want to go pantless in the office right now.
Pants are overrated
