@ElleStaxx Great news and so glad the owner took action. Please, please If you ever see something disturbing on the camera again, call immediately! @23Melissa28 So glad jr is good! @Inn2 busy time for you. Sorry to hear about your aunt. T&P for you and your family. @vargasgurl Congrats!
Thanks for the hugs and prayers, everyone. Feels good to finally talk about it outside of immediate family. I just found out Sunday. My mom had said she did not want to ruin our CA trip.
@vargasgurl I bf ds1 through my entire pregnancy with LO; well he self weaned 4 weeks prior to LO being born. One if the drs in my practice told me I needed to wean him by the end if my 1st trimester because it causes contractions. I was panicked for a few days but started doing some searches online and most everything I found said it's fine to continue as long as it's not a high risk pregnancy. At my next appt I asked another dr at the practice and she said don't stop, it's perfectly safe for me to nurse him the entire time, so I did.
I do have to warn you tho, my milk supply dropped and the nipple tenseness can be pretty bad at times. Overall though I had no problems and would do it all over. Obviously just make the choice you are happy with!!!
(Sorry that was a long rambling mess)
Edit- forgot to say congrats to you!!! This is so exciting, more babies!!
@vargasgurl please PM me. are you on FB? there are some great FB groups for nursing through pregnancy. yes, i did nurse through my entire pregnancy. i had about 80% enough milk for the first tri, 2nd tri was somewhere around 30%, and then 3rd tri, it was pretty much "comfort nursing", with no milk..i gave her a bottle first, and then i dry-nursed her to sleep for naps and bedtime. i supplemented with almond milk and olive oil (bc dd was over 1, with MSPI). i did not experience contractions while nursing--it's a valid concern only if you are high risk. nursing contractions are similar to BH CTX. they are "just for practice". your body won't put you into pre-term labor unless it's what's already been decided (due to other high risk factors), nursing aside. the hardest thing for me was "nursing aversion"..which you do get extra tenderness, sometimes sharp, and sometimes creepy crawly sensations...it's a really weird feeling...but look into that one.
good luck, congratulations, and i LOOOOOOOOOVE tandem nursing, so if you think you're interested, nursing through pregnancy is HARD, but "just keep swimming" is the motto...PM me and we can chat.
and i'm super impressed that newbie @pinkdahlia44 knows my story. you have just moved up a few notches on my "who do i love" post-it
