So I realize we're a little off the tracks for a new UO, but...

I want the weight gain thread to die. Who is even reading all of those posts? Why does it matter how much other (lovely) strangers have gained? I know I can continue to just ignore it. But every time it rises to the top I get a little twitchy.

I totally agree! Last pregnancy- in Texas. They had wings top and I would crave those babies and a cup of cheese dip. This pregnancy- Connecticut and I crave them so badly but there are none around! Breaks my heart. Lol.

I live close to 100 sonics
I think my lo will not have a credit card until he is out own his own. He can build it like his parents did. Student Loans and mortgages.
Not sure what the f went down re the banning. The mod job is a hard one and it is not like it was self anointed. We had a vote just in case it was forgotten. And that's all I have to say about that.

Now for the love of my glucose levels stop talking about french fries and other delicious potato derivatives!

I think the bolded is kind of bogus, tbh. Blocking one mod--especially one who isn't affiliated with one's board--doesn't seem like it would impede the function of TB. Especially since there's the mod board where, ostensibly, other mods could deal with the report instead. And I think it's BS that you can't block a mod, but if you ask a mod to stop contacting you (when all Bump business has been completed), you have no recourse if they don't stop.

I can answer the italicized, and that's no, she wasn't told. She didn't know she was banned until she came to TB to post and saw that it was all jacked up and her avatar was changed to the banned avatar. But my question wasn't specifically about Crystal, it was about process. Are bans typically communicated to a poster in advance if they are intended to be cooling off sessions? And like I said, how would someone know if it's permanent or temporary unless they're told in advance?

Emailing community@thebump is sort of a joke. It's been done with no response, and from looking it up via search on this site, it seems like that's not an uncommon problem. I don't think there are many Bump gods, so I'm sure they're all really busy. But it's definitely not as quick as, say, poster-to-poster harassment.

I don't think that all the mods are friends. I also don't need to know the details. However, I've seen things on this board that I have not seen elsewhere on the Bump.

I'm glad bans are not permanent.

Andplusalso, can't defend yourself because the other party in question was banned. Six of one; half a dozen of the other.

But I will say that continuing to instigate a problem via PM, including accusing someone of having hateful intentions regarding IF in their message, seems kind of power-tripping and butthurt to me. But like you said, can't talk about it because it's PMs and one person isn't here to try to defend herself.

Blasphemy! Onion rings rock.....and you can't beat Runza's Frings. (You get fries and onion rings.....you don't even have to choose). The downside....Runzas are in Nebraska, and I don't live there anymore.

I sound like such a junk food addict in this thread (probably cause I am) but we have a Runza about 5 minutes from us, and Frings are the best of both worlds. Gotta make sure they are fresh though...
