I had my sweet LO early yesterday morning. I'd forgotten how exhausting it is to wake every 3 hours to feed them. And of course, as soon as I start to doze off, nurses come to do their rounds. And my IV bag just went nuts because it was low. So much for sleep haha!
@Csltdk we're on the same schedule. It's midnight, so I guess this is my first night feeding.
I read Tamra is going to be a grandma. I hate that they are associated with where I live and grew up. I don't associate with anybody like that. However, those types were way more prevalent before the recession.
Did you see the commercials for Extreme Parenting on Bravo? Right up my alley!
I would go on Amazing Race. Could you imagine Amazing Race toddler edition where families had to travel with their itty bitties? My husband and I would kill each other, and we've traveled a ton with DD.
Yes! I can't wait to see the extreme parenting. It's 4 now and looks like it's a cluster feed.
Have you the New Jersey housewives? Talk about giving your state a bad name.... Ugh I cant stand it
Joining in here while I feed for the third time in five hours....sweet girl is sleepy but just keeps eating! DH was wonderful at keeping her occupied during the day so I could catch up a bit on sleep, but this is hard, yo. Also, just discovered my diaper genie does not have the "childproof cutter", and I need to find scissors.

Ours is missing the cutter too. Wtf?
We've been up much of the night. He keeps crying because he's hungry but then won't stay awake long enough to eat his fill so I give up and lay him down and he cries again 5 minutes later. Repeat.
Just had a 5 hour stretch AND my boobs didn't leak all, over the bed.
Progress.
Us too!! I was feeling guilty but when I woke up at 4 hours she was still sound asleep and I dozed off watching her for signs of waking. One extra hour and I feel like a new woman!

We have the same lyfe. Then she tries to sleep alllll dayyyy loooong. I keep telling DH to wake her adorable butt up, but he can't bear to do it. I just figure I'll have another career as an extra on the Walking Dead soon.
@Huahine not a helpful comment, but I've begun to embrace the night sweats, only because they mean more weight loss for me. I'm going on 3 weeks now (25 more pounds to go...).
A cool shower before bed does help lessen them somewhat though.
Thanks for the shower tip. All the sweating does seem to be helping bring down the swelling. Pretty sure I saw the outline of a bone on one of my hobbit feet today. It could have just been dirt or a shadow, but I'm hopeful that someday I'll be able to wear something other than flip flops again.
LO has been super fussy all day. I'm hoping that doesn't mean we're in for a long night. Especially since last night was a rough one with the 3 hour awake stretch and cluster feeding. I think we might be experiencing our first growth spurt. Yikes.
I was freezing in bed and everytime I'd get chills/goosebumps I'd get a shooting pain in both nipples. I'm feeding DS now and I'm overly hot. Hoping this is hormones and I'm not getting sick.
We changed formulas after a hellish week of Micah being clearly in pain between feedings. So, without consulting the dr, we moved from 22cal Enfacare to 20cal Gentlease. It's the Christmas miracle I've been waiting for. He is so much happier and I feel like I can actually tell when he needs to burp or when he's pooping because he's not just one big fussy monster all the time.
Monster autocorrected to mobster on my phone and it made be giggle. Oh tiny mobster!
I feel you guys on the hormone body temp problems. I'm 7w PP and luckily I've stopped the sheet soaking sweat. But I still will go to bed freezing and wake up with the back of my neck wet. I try to keep a hair tie next to my rocker so that I can pull my hair back and air out during feedings.
2:00 am second feeding, she's an hour early tonight, I really hope she doesn't start cluster feeding at 4 am
It's incredible how soul crushing an hour early feeding can be.

Cluster feeding going on 13 hours over here. The delirium is setting in. Please sleep baby girl!
We did that all day. DD took a 20 minute nap at 6pm and I did too thinking I was in for a long night. Thankfully, after she cluster feeds she normally takes a long (welcomed) nap. Hope your LO let's you sleep soon!
Has anyone used gripe water for gas? LO is getting both milk and formula and it's messing her stomach up something fierce. I'm desperate for her to get some relief so she can relax a bit.
@Lola825 I haven't used gripe water but I do use the I love you baby massage and it really works for my little one when she gets fussy with gas. I would look up a YouTube video on it.
Side note: Leah from teen mom2: I find you incredibly whiny. I'm starting to fast forward through your segments, get it together guurrrl
I hate that every time Leah is feeling sad she runs to Corey for an ego boost

@csltdk Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. We've tried he bicycle kick but she gets mad and straightens her legs as hard as she can. She's feisty when she has to poop!
I'm wondering if the formula is making her gassy because nothing in my diet has been consistent enough to determine that's what's causing it.
I've used mylicon drops but lots of people in my mast BMB have used gripe water and swore by it

I use gripe water a couple of times a day when I can't get any other trick to relieve pain. It works great! I would recommend it! I use little remedies brand and you need to wait until they're two weeks old with it. I also tried just a little at first to make sure she wasn't allergic before giving the full amount. So glad I tried it though. It really seems to relieve some of her pain and let her sleep or relax.

I agree I get no rest in the hospital. Between nurses checking my vitals, and dr making their rounds....I was always interrupted.

I use colic calm...which is basically the same thing..it works like a charm. I only have to use it ocassionaly and use 3/4 the dosage...but it works almost instantly...occasionally it takes up to 5 minutes or so. He starts burping and/or passing gas. Than calms down and go to sleep.
Visited the fam today do she slept alllll day and I am beyond exhausted so she's gonna start the night off with a feeding at 11 I'm sure I'll see you ladies every hour tonight!

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
LO just gave me a 3 1/2 window of straight sleep. I feel like a new person!! I thought it was going to be a horrible night after she only gave me 1 1/2 between the first feeding. If I can squeeze in another 2 1/2 this morning I may cry from happiness.
I cried my first night home too! My milk was coming in but the pain was only in one spot at a time and my boobs were hard and lumpy. I thought I had a block duct or god knows what. It does get better but some days/nights are going to really suck (sometimes literally).
DD was attached to my boob and WIDE AWAKE from 5pm-10:30pm. DH works nights so I was on my own. All I wanted to do was cry. Once she fell asleep on me and stayed asleep for 30 minutes, I got the courage to put her in the rock n play. Thank God she stayed asleep!
First night home and we're cluster feeding. Things are going pretty decently but I hope my milk comes in sooner than it did for DD. Wes is dozing off on the boob now so maybe I can catch a couple hours of sleep!
Hang in there @soontobehuskermom! Our first night home with Emme was absolutely dreadful. We both forgot how to latch, she was inconsolable, and we were exhausted. And then it started getting better. You've got this!

We're up for our 3am feeding, so mommy is hoping we can make it to 7am for the next one!
Eta: nevermind. I googled.

@babybell22 my only advice is to have LO sit upright for 15 min after a feeding.
