2nd update to 5l/2 weeks and no fetal pole

Hi again,   If I ever get through this it will be  miracle.   As of my last post the nurse now called and said that I am seriously lagging behind and they are very concerned.    I am measuring 5 weeks6 days and ACCORDING TO MY LAST MONTHLY PERIOD (what) I should be 7 weeks 2 days.     I told her I ovulated late like on day 17 and I usually only have a 23 or 24 day cycle.

So now nurse said my HCG is 58,000 and Thursday it was 40,000........She didnt comment about that.......according to my ovulation and probable fertilization I am probably fetal age of 6 weeks or 6 weeks 1 day.......They are soooooooo negative that I am afraid to be hopeful even after I saw heartrate of 96 and crl of almost 3 mm........Thanks for listening......

    big hugs. This sucks. Fingers crossed for you that you are just measuring a little behind. If you should be 6w or 6+1, and are measuring 5+6, that's only a day or two off. Keep us updated.

    I'm so sorry you are limbo. If you were charting and know your O date, that is far more reliable than LMP. I would call and request to speak to an actual doctor to discuss your chart with them. In the meantime, if you feel confident in your o date, then try to hold on to some faith. I'm sorry they are making this very difficult for you.

    I'm sorry for this stressful limbo time. What did your provider say the next step is? You mentioned that Your growth is putting you at 5 wks 6 days - does that show growth from your last check up or is that the only measurement they have so far?

    When do you go in again for another ultrasound? Dates are off all the time, many OB's go wth the norm, when most woman aren't on the standard normal schedule!! You could always go in to a urgent care and tell then you had a "scary bleed" and they will have a tech do a ultrasound for you! Having an opinion of an ultrasound from a third party may give you more reassurance as it sounds like you could be second guessing your OB office.

    Yes......I had no fetal pole or heartbeat 4 days ago.   Now I do, but they still are negative......

    I don't know why they're being so negative... 6 weeks pregnant with a fetal pole and heartbeat doesn't sound all doom and gloom to me.  I don't know what normal CRL or heart rate is at that age, but I wouldn't write anything off.  And actually if I were in your shoes I might start thinking about looking for a new practice, it doesn't sound like they're listening to you.  Good luck!

    At 5wks4, I had no fetal pole or HB. AT 6wks1, I had a HB of 98 and beta of 11,401. I think you sound on track, but I'm not a Dr...I would try to stay optimistic and ask for another u/s a week from your last, and see how things are progressing. I'm sorry you feel negativity from them. ((HUGS))

    Big ((HUGS)). I would try to stay positive. Seeing a heartbeat is still a great sign.

    I think everything sounds positive. I would either go redi are like po said or find another dr. If everything turns out great I wouldn't want to go to office where everything is doom and gloom!

    Negativity seems to be a common thing with OB nurses :(. On Monday my OB nurse told me I'm miscarrying without asking for any details whatsover on my symptoms. She had me in tears, and it still could be for no reason.

    Also, major side-eye to your nurses for insisting you are behind even after you said you have short cycles. That's just messed up.

    I honestly think they are causing you undue worry. I hope this LO shows them what's what and grows strong and steady! Big hugs in the meantime. Keep breathing.

    Today, you are pregnant. Today, that LO has a beautiful heartbeat. Those are facts.
