Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Well here I am at CD1. This will be our 2nd cycle trying. I was sad at first but we leave for a trip to Europe soon. DH reminded me that it will be cool to TTC in the castle we are staying in. My FW will be during the trip. Plus..who wants to have morning sickness on a plane!?
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? We usually go to dinner at our favorite little place and follow it up with martinis at this little bar that is sorta hidden. We love it!

What are you doing to get pregnant? Bbt, PNV, will start OPKs at the end of the week. ED sex once we get closer to O.
Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I have slept like shit the last few nights and my temps have reflected that.
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? Usually dinner and a concert. Music is our thing. There is literally some sort of music non stop in our house unless we are all asleep. So from about 10p to 5a is the only quiet time!
@Bee1112 sorry for the crappy sleep lately. Hope it gets better.
@Budders12 it's a hard question. I'd talk it out with him and see what he's comfortable with. Although, if I read correctly, and you guys HIO ED the last 4 days, I don't think missing tonight would hurt too much. Good luck!!

GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO?
Dinner and a movie if it's at night. During day dates we usually grab lunch and then head to our favorite park or the dog park with our dog

What are you doing to get pregnant: PNV, EOD sex starting Friday I guess, maybe OPKs starting Friday. I don't know if I want to ramp up the crazy like that, though.
Rants/raves/chartstalks: I need to solidify a game plan for the OPKs I ordered. Wackadoo cycle 1 has me confused and nervous.
GTKY: There is nothing typical about our date nights. We love to stay home and cook good food and watch TV together, so when we do go out DH likes to go big. We went nighttime crocodile spotting last weekend, and for my birthday DH took me out for sushi and to watch Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band. One anniversary we went to a reptile show and purchased a veiled chameleon. We are not normal.
ETA: @Budders12 I think I'd go for tonight and just hope for the best. I always air on the side of not making DH crazy.

Rants/raves/chart stalks: My cousin had her baby last night. Not a shock, but I was a little sad when I opened Facebook this morning and saw the hoopla.
GTKY: Usually dinner out somewhere, nothing too exciting. I love beach day dates! I could go for one right now, actually.

What are you doing to get pregnant? ED sex in fertile window, OPKs, temping
Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: This is my first month charting & temping so I am still getting used to everything. Really enjoying having all of the data though. FF predicted that I will O today - also had a positive OPK yesterday & today - so we will see.
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? dinner, movies - maybe a concert if someone good is in town.

What are you doing to get pregnant? charting, temping, OPKs, ED sex, preseed
Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Had as close to a +OPK as you can this morning when I got home from work. So hopefully there is a blatant + this evening or tomorrow. Only complaint is that I just got home from work and DH is coming home at lunch time for a little, so I know my temp is going to be garbage. I also work tonight so tomorrows temp is probably also going to suck. But heres hoping for a clear temp shift if the next few days regardless.
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? Since we work opposite schedules it is just so nice to be home at the same time, sitting on the couch, watching tv, eating dinner together. When we do go out, we like to try out new restaurants, new foods, new drinks.

What are you doing: Daily baby aspirin, PNV once I remember to buy a new bottle, temping, and shooting for EOD sex
Rants: my temp is just now back to normal pre-O temps, so that's weird. But H and I have been having really awesome sex, so even if I O a little later than normal I won't mind.
GTKY: typically, we go eat at a decent restaurant, grab dessert from an icecream shop and then watch a movie at home. Lately we have been trying to go to only local places that we haven't been before. I am super pumped for next month though...my family got me and him two nights at a nice casino/hotel a couple of hours away for my 21st day (yeah, I'm the youngest person on the board) so I'm looking forward to that! Of course, if my cycle stays the same as normal, I'll be either pregnant or on my period by then... So here's hoping I have a happy reason not to get hammered.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I spotted for 4 days before AF really started. That's unusual for me and I hated being in limbo. I'm really hoping this is my month, since it took 3 cycles to get pregnant with DD. Third time is a charm, right???
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? We normally leave our daughter with one of the grandparents and go eat out. Sometimes we also go to a park, hiking, or shopping if there's time. We try to go on a date every month, but that doesn't always happen.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: **Advice needed** I've been having pain around my right side ever since getting off of b/c in Jan. It comes and goes throughout the month (already got checked once for appendix/ectopic/cyst issues which came back negative) So, yesterday I chatted with my doc to see if we could test for any issues that could cause the pain + effect us TTGP thus far, and she said she couldn't do anything until we hit 12 months and told me to call the GYN office. I get that there may not be anything wrong with me fertility wise, but is it wrong to want to rule out possible issues that could cause the pain? Would GYN be able to do that?
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? Usually just dinner out, sometimes with friends. He's been working so hard lately, we don't really go out often.

So I've read before that your sense of smell can be heightened right before/during ovulation, has anyone ever noticed this before? I feel like the past couple of days I have the nose of a hound dog, I can smell everything... Maybe I just did a spectacular job of clearing out my nasal passageways...

@Mrskbuck That's not a silly question, because I wondered that myself.
The pain usually hits near the end of the cycle. I've wondered before if it was related to implantation due to the timing in the cycle, but obviously not since we haven't gotten but one very faint squinter this whole 8 months of trying. (But it did come twice right after AF and before my FW.) What concerns me is that it's only on the right side every month. If it was O pain, wouldn't it switch sides?

@budders12 That's a hard situation..do you think maybe if you made the extra-effort to keep things simple for him tonight that he could rally tomorrow? Maybe if you guys tried earlier in the evening instead of before bed time that would help him be more energized? Also, perhaps some sexy texts throughout the day could help..inspire him? ;-) Good luck either way, I know it's stressful, but EOD is still really good timing b/c of how long the little swimmers can live.

@jess11213 Go get them groceries! lol! Try to think of it as 'you' time.. I def prefer shopping without the hubby second guessing what I add to the cart while he sneaks his goodies in there..lol!
@nevertoomanyshoes I'm right there with you..all signs pointed to a BFP last cycle, and I really had my hopes up about it. I'm going to try really really hard to stay positive and enjoy the 'trying' this cycle, especially b/c we may miss the next two due to my military 'vacation'.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I had probably the most vivid pregnancy dream last night. I had the baby and then I had to come back to graham street and park avenue to pick the baby up from the birthing center ?! I wanted to know why I wasn't in Methodist (in Brooklyn). Then I held the baby and I could see a clear picture of her face. That's never happened in my dreams before. Then the nurse proceeded to tell me that they don't have time to show me how to breastfeed.
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? We'll usually just go out for dinner and wine. Nothing fancy, I don't do well in heels.
Best news is that I'm still here in WTO! H gets home from his underway this evening.

What are you doing to get pregnant? Temping, sex - thankfully -, PNV, have to restock on food so probably pineapple core also.
Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I was so nervous to look at my temp this am! If it was elevated that means today (or last night) was O day, but thankfully it was down a fair bit. I expect O tomorrow based on past O date, these positive OPKs and the first ever noticeable EWCM I've had.
GTKY: H loves movies and we go often, but without kids everything we do is kind of like date night. I guess its date night if I put on make up and we go to the expensive place

What are you doing to get pregnant?: Right now I'm taking my PNVs and my temp. Starting in three days we'll do ED sex and OPKs though (sorry if I've whined about this before here) we are going on a family vacation starting the first day of FW and lasting until two days after so any baby making will have to be done in a house with his ENTIRE family! I'm excited to go but totally nervous. Nobody can seem to tell me if we'll have our own room. Perhaps it'll be fun, we haven't had to sneak sex for years but we were once quite good at it if I remember correctly!
Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Miss Eats Everything made a snack of my BBT thermometer yesterday. That's what I get for letting her sleep in my bed during the day.

Question: what is the difference between cycle and month here? I have charted since December, but last month is the first time DH and I were in the same place during my FW. So am I in cycle 2 or 8? Which month? Not sure I understand how to count that properly.
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? Like a pp said, we don't have kids so it kinda always feels like date night.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: We are baby-sitting my 3 nieces for the week starting today so I was kind of hoping that the monitor wasn’t drunk and I was going to O early. Now it is time for secret stealthy sex way early or way late at night since they will be here doing most of FW.
And more of a confession-I seriously thought about saying we couldn’t baby-sit, not mentioning it was due to FW, but then I realized I would definitely be diagnosed as BSC.
GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? Dinner and a movie or some low key activity lie mini-golf.
@budders12-EOD is just fine in the FW. I wouldn’t push too hard if there is a chance you want sex tomorrow too!
@swimmergurl1105-I know the sad feeling. Yesterday a really good friend had her baby and another friend announced they are pregnant with baby #4. It’s hard to be totally cheerful with people sometimes.
@epidemic-I wouldn’t wait 12 months for pain. Even if they can’t do anything fertility wise, pain wise they should do something for you.

GTKY -- What does a typical date night look like for you and your SO? DH doesn't like the one person I've come up with for babysitting and never bothers to ask the person he's had volunteer for the job (nor has he given me her contact info), so we only go on dates when visiting my parents/when my parents come to town. We go out for a movie, maybe grab ice cream after, and if we're very lucky, we get 15-20 minutes to ourselves once we get back.
ETA: your daughter is cute. I should have specified...

What I'm doing to get KU: the usual
Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/etc: I have EWCM! Unfortunately we have yet to achieve ejaculation since the EWCM showed up. Story of my life, yo. At this point I'd just like to O and wrap up this cycle so we can move onto the next now that my sleep schedule's finally sorted out. I'll keep trying to make successful sex happen in the meantime but I'm just feeling pretty worn out about it all.
