Hey everyone,

I'm not very good at introductions so bear with me. My DH and I were given the diagnosis of a missed miscarriage back on June 12 at our 8 wk appointment. This was my first pregnancy though DH has a child from a previous marriage. The OB gave me cytotec on 3 different occasions to "medically manage" the loss but it resulted last week in an in-office D&C anyway which was rough since numbing medications never work for me. Currently, we are waiting on our final appointment to discuss with the doctor about TTC again.

I have spent some time on the loss board but trying to make the move to TTCAL. We never really told anyone about the loss with exception of a few people so most of my support I have received from the boards here. My DH is supportive though he doesn't want to talk about it as he is afraid it will trigger his combat PTSD.

But that about wraps it up and I look forward to talking to everyone here; still trying to learn all the rules and such after reading the blog so if I miss anything please let me know.
Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.

    BFP #1 6/5/2013, MC confirmed 6/26/2013 @ 7 wks

    BFP#2 8/25/2013 MC confirmed 10/16/2013 @ 12 wks (D&C 10/18)

    Diagnosis: unexplained RPL, unexplained IF.

    Also have hypothyroidism

    Started TTC again 12/2013

     

    IUI#1:Clomid CD 3-7, Trigger'ed CD 12. IUI CD 14. BFN

    IUI #2:Letrozole CD 3 - 7, Follistim CD 9, Trigger CD 10, IUI CD12. BFN

    Current plan: IVF with PGD. Antagonist - Vivelle Protocal. Stim start 12/1. ER 12/14.

    Sorry for your loss and sorry that you can't speak to your husband about it either. My husband is a Marine who was there for the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and he keeps a very short leash on his emotions. After our loss I found myself in the same boat as you and I turned here as well. These ladies are very supportive and knowledgable so you did the right thing. :)

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I couldn't imagine a D&C without proper anesthesia. How traumatic! I hope you find the support you are looking for here. Welcome.

    @CFearsy - thank you, just found the board and introduced myself over there as well!

    @lyndz333 - thanks, sometimes it feels like you are the only one. My DH was a sniper in special forces group before he was medically discharged after one of his deployments. He finally started to get help for his PTSD before we got married but still does not like talk about anything that upsets him. I'm thankful to have found the boards here for support - it has made a world of difference for me.

    @VesperLynch, @aim288 - I certainly won't recommend an in-office D&C to anyone in the future. My OB gave me double the dose of a normal anesthetic but it didn't work for me. I think I would rather repeat my back surgery than experience the pain from that again.

    Me 34 DH 31, Together since 2003, Married August 20, 2011,  TTC since May 2013
    BFP #1 August 24, 2013! MMC discovered Oct. 3, 2013, D&C Oct. 4, 2013
    BFP #2 December 17, 2013! MMC discovered Jan. 28, 2014, D&C Jan. 30, 2014
    Testing done: male with complete Trisomy 16, not hereditary. Tested me for clotting disorders, all normal.
    Feb. 2014 all clear again to TTC!  Will start progesterone supplementation with the next BFP just in case.       Oct. 2014 more testing just because, thyroid and autoimmune panels = normal.  Diagnostic U/S = no abnormalities.  Will keep trying for 3-6 more months, doctor still optimistic!

    BFP #3 December 11, 2014!  Beta #1 14DPO = 122.4 Beta #2 17DPO = 296.8 Please stick little one and be our Rainbow!

            Perfect little heartbeat of 156 seen 1/7/15 :)
