I'm so jealous of all the painted nurseries. The baby's space is an open area that's more like a den before you walk into our bedroom upstairs (my husband wants to actually close it off to make an official bedroom someday, but I like the open area, too, so I don't know). It used to be our office. Now it's the baby's room. So because it's open, we aren't painting or putting up cute curtains or anything. I have to wait until she moves downstairs into her own actual room, I suppose.
I'm so excited to have something to post finally! My brother painted the room about a month ago. We were given an old, small laminated dresser by my husbands step-mother 3 months ago, and bought a hideous, laminated changing hutch/dresser combo off of craigslist for $40 2 months ago. I've been dying to get this project done for months and it will be finished by this weekend hopefully!
I had my husband prime everything after we sanded it all. He has no detail orientation and left drips everywhere (and you would have thought I asked him to chop off his arm when I told him he needed to give everything a second coat). I wish I could have done it but priming inside is kind of a no go while pregnant
It was super nice this weekend so I opened both windows, turned on the attic fan, which was right outside the baby room door, and painted everything (with a respirator on). It's all coming together finally! I just have to do the rest of the dresser drawer fronts and this painting project will be finished! (Sorry uploaded pics from my phone)
All this diy stuff is so cute! We just finished painting and that took forever. We had to paint the trim and the room had 3 different colored walls; blue, red, and yellow. So dark and so ugly! We added the chair rail and put her crib together yesterday. SO exciting!!

So I'm not doing any handmade projects with this nursery, but we did paint some awesome stripes on the wall. The bedding will be done soon. And my mom bought us this propeller to hang in the center above the crib and the large airplane to hang from the ceiling in the corner.
I didnt make the baby doll, but my mom knitted her for our little lady and my boys picked out the angry birds .. im working on finishing the blanket for #2 that I started (3 yeara ago ) when I was pregnant with him so I can start working on a blanket for her!
Two little projects I'm working on for baby's room... I bought the Bekvam spice racks from Ikea yesterday and I'm in the process of painting them to use as bookshelves. I've attached 2 photos so you can get the idea of how they will be used. I also bought some cool prints from Etsy, including the quote below (a nod to Doctor Who without being an obvious geek) that I've framed to hang in room.
We are renovating the house and baby's room won't be livable until after he's born, so all I can do is plan and do projects!
@PurpleHippo19 I'm a graphic designer. So. I drew them in InDesign (should have used Illustrator but I hate the new version) and sent them off to be printed.
Any chance any of your cats look similar to mine? I could send you the jpegs. If they are similar but different colors, I could do that, too if you send me photos of your cats and what size you want the prints. And let me know who's a boy vs. who's a girl for bows/bow ties.
But if they are crazy leopard print exotic cats or something then, I dunno about that. Like. Today, I had ALLL Day. Tomorrow at work I will probably not be able to breathe. So, no promises, but I can give it a shot!
This wasn't made for me but baby Brecken our 27 week baby in this group (the first one, now. I just saw we had another )
I'm making an incubator blanket and matching hat but that's under wraps and top secret until she gets it she knows they are on the way so it isn't a suprise for her she requested anyone to do it so I volunteered my services.
I wanted to be an AW and show the dress I just finished. It is newborn size. I plan on making DD a matching skirt. I keep looking at it, it makes me so excited!

I made three little posters for baby girl's room. The theme is adventure and I found really lovely maps, too, that I had framed.
I may go back and add flecks of other colors.
