Hello! I've been away for a while, but hope you will take me back. I have wonderful news, on May 13th we welcomed our healthy wonderful rainbow #2 Savannah.
I went to bed that Monday night after contracting all day at 39+2. I had been getting hopeful, but when they hadn't really changed I just figured it wasn't time yet. Well at two I woke up with stronger contractions, and the between four and five I knew it was the real deal. (I had a post dates induction for DS, so I never had my honey it's time moment before!) We didn't really have a plan for someone to watch DS, so we waited until 630 to drop him off at daycare on our way to the hospital.
At the hospital I was only 3 cm, but fully effaced so I was watched for a while. Well things moved along quickly, next check I was 5 then anterior lip, then it was time to push. Three pushes later I got to meet my 6lb 12oz baby girl! She is healthy and amazing. I had forgotten how difficult it is to breastfeed a newborn, but all of my concerns about poor latch and milk transfer were put to rest when she weighed 8lbs 4oz at her two week visit.
Life with two has been an adjustment, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it for the world! I know Ive missed a lot but hope to catch up quickly.
