Symptoms make zero indication of sex. Any of these things, when people claim something worked for them, well, yea, you have a 50% chance that it'll work. Coincidence.
Gender/sex same thing. Boy parts or girls part, the hormones they produce. I have two boys and was sick with both and now sick with the third. My mom was dog sick with all three girls and never sick with the boys so I thought my first two were girls but they are boys. We are REALLY hoping for a girl. 3 boys would be a little much for me.
I have 2 daughters and my pregnancies, labor, and deliveries with them were as different as could be! So far this pregnancy has been the most like my 1st (the hard one).
Well I have a boy and didn't have any morning sickness at all. This time around I keep getting small waves of it, but not too bad yet, I'm only 6 weeks though.
My one friend has a boy and a girl. So sick with the boy and no morning sickness with the girl, so you never know!
I don't think anyone meant any harm in using the wrong term. There is no need to call someone ignorant, it's an easy mistake to make. We aren't talking about an issue that has anything to do with his/her personal choices, obviously we are talking about the sex of the baby and symptoms of pregnancy, lay off the poor girl.
In babies it's the same thing or they wouldn't call it a "gender reveal party" when they are old enough to decide then so be it but as a baby they are the same. Thank you to Those who actually answered my question off of experience.
If I'm going to say anything it's this: it has nothing to due with "deciding". A person who identifies as transgender is born that way. So, no. In babies it is not the same thing.
I'm finding the name calling in this discussion absolutely disgusting. Also, if you actually spend time researching the word gender you'll notice that the distinction is not universal between gender and sex.
We've all made mistakes in life correct? We've all opened our mouth & said something not out of ignorance, but because we honestly didn't know the difference. Let's all calm down, while it might be difficult with our pregnancy hormones raging, I feel confident that the young lady didn't intentionally set out to offend anyone by confusing gender/sex. Just a mistake, no need to point a finger & call names.
Thank you @dani727 I appreciate it. This is all far to ridiculous. I was asking a question to get help not to be criticized. The WORLD may want to distinguish between the two but as for me and my house we believe and serve The Lord. So boys are boys and girls are girls. The parts the are given is who they are. I don't criticize you for your way of life so don't do that to me. I was thought this forum was for support and help not slandering and people being rude. I hope there are still nice people out there that don't feel the need to nit pick people.

I was waiting for this comeback.
I won't criticize you. Ignorance and prejudice of that level aren't even worth my time. I'm out.
People were being rude before I said that. I never said I didn't want him. I think ANYONE would agree with 3 boys under the age of 3 is and underwhelming thought especially in the early hormonal and morning sickness stage. We are hoping for a girl but if we get a boy then I know there is a plan! He will have two amazing brothers and lots of clothes. I am looking forward to a healthy baby. Everyone is allowed to hope for one of the other.
Keep digging.
You might want to quit while you're...well...not ahead, so. Just stop.
It's an old wives tale based on reality but it has nothing to do with morning sickness. 80% if HG pregnancies are female.
HG isn't morning sickness and 20% are still boys. But that's where the OWT comes from.
ya i have looked it up and have read it being that morning sickness is based on the hormones and not the babies sex. It seems that it all depends on the person and how they handle the pregnancy! so it keeps us guessing haha!
By the way my best friends daughter is charlee, i love that name!

On a completely unrelated topic your gif made me crave popcorn.
