Cap'n Crunch Cereal is rocking my world

Usually I don't go anywhere near the sugary kid cereals. I'm more of a Go Lean Crunch, bran flakes with raisins, Shreddies(Canadian cereal) kind of girl. However, on Thursday I somehow became obsessed with the thought of shoving fistfuls of Cap'n Crunch into my face. Tried ignoring it till about Saturday night when DH finally ran out to pick up a box for me. Man, I'm telling you it was the single most delicious bowl (or two) of cereal that I have ever eaten. I'm a little sad right now because I didn't bring any to work. Though the fact that my office is beset on two sides by purveyors of cereal and other fine grocery items, means that I could very well dash out on a Cap'n Crunch run.

Anyone else obsessing over something that you would consider unusual?

In other news, my ticker seems to think that I'm in 2nd tri. Interesting.

This is so gross, but I made this the other night and it felt SO SO right...

Ramen noodles, no seasoning packet, mixed with tomato sauce.

It's like an even more ghetto version of Spaghetti-O's.

YES! Normally, I have Raisin Bran Crunch or Special K with red berries. Lately, I have ONLY Lucky Charms or Crunch Berries! Today I had TWO bowls!

I'd like to think of this as a general cravings post, because my crazy, pregnant mind has just switched over to chips and queso. I could honestly shove a handful of cap'n crunch into my mouth with one hand and a whole grain tortilla chip dripping with warm, spicy queso into my mouth with the other. Typically I've craved fruit and peanut butter. Lately, I've craved candy apples. I can't find any and I'm too otherwise occupied to make them so I've been indulging in Granny Smith apples and caramel spread (as a dip). I can't get enough of those green apples, which is crazy because I've always hated green apples!

This is me too! I had been successfully low carbing for about 6 months before getting pregnant. No refined sugar, no pasta, no rice, no bread/cereals. However, about 3-4 weeks in the carb cravings have really hit hard. My go-to bread substitutes sound horrible to me. I can't even look at a cauliflower. Oh but bring on the cap'n crunch. lol Hopefully, I can pull back on the carbs a bit in 2nd tri.

I almost bought Captain Crunch when I was looking for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I ended up getting the Cascadian Farms version of CTC. I've been eating it nonstop and had it for dinner the other night. My husband accused me of not giving our child the proper nutrients, ha (he doesn't get cereal for dinner: "But it's cold!").

Peppermints....Its like cocaine....I keep wanting to eat them all......I think its just due to M/S.

All I want is spicy food....everything else tastes bland...I really have not craved sweets -chocolate, cake, etc (which is so weird bc I love sweets)

I craved a ton of spicy food with DD. Taco Supremes with tons of hot sauce, jerk chicken, hot wings, spicy nachos...come to think of it, those things sound good right now.

Me too y'all...I really thought I would be able to stay grain free. Ya, not so much!

I have been craving Reese Puffs and ate almost entire box for dinner the other night. My H keeps yelling at me saying I "need to eat balanced meals" I told him "breakfast is the most important meal of the day and this is breakfast food, hence it's healthy."

Lol Yes!!! I'm pretty sure I haven't eaten Reese Puffs since I was in 8th grade! I HAD to have them the other night and have to stop myself from eating them! I also can not get enough enchiladas!! It's literally all I think about eating!! Tacos & nachos comes close to filling the need but doesn't do the job 100%....although I am greatly fighting the urge to order half the menu at Taco Bell. Not sure how much longer my self control can last!!
