Question RE shots and fever

Hey, quick question for those online today. My son got three shots Tuesday. He did not do good with him like last time. He had a high (100) fever Tuesday and weds so I gave him meds and it lowered it. No fever Thursday. On Friday, Saturday and today he has the high fever again. If he has it tomorrow I'm calling the dr, but in your experience has anyone's kids had a fever this long from shots? (I'm contemplating whether he has something else, like and ear infection or something but I have no idea.)

100 is high for him, my dr has always told me to take him in at 101 or more. He acts miserable. He sometimes won't even let me cuddle him, like it makes him worse. So he just sits on my lap and whimpers

Eta: as for te fever, anytime he's had shots it only raises his temp like one degree, that's what I mean "for him" lol not like he has a special body or something

  • Is he eating/drinking?  Personally 100 wouldn't be on my radar but you know your kid best :)

  • When we got our 12 month shots dr said one of them could cause fever the next day or 2 and one could cause fever a week later. It is possible he is reacting to 2 different vaccines.

Thanks everyone! I think I am just worrying because he did not react like this last time. He's behind on his shots (took us this long to get this obamacare crap worked out) so the three shots he got are the same three he got at 2 months, the second set. And my mil freaks out over everything. He's totally find, just needs to get his body to process it all.
