Because Mucous Plugs are Fun!

I've seen a million comments about when mucous plugs were lost versus when birth occurs. I could care less about those.

Here's what I want to know:

WHERE did you lose your plug?

Were you at your desk at work and had to do a waddle of shame to the bathroom?

In the shower while trying to shave that spot on your leg you haven't been able to reach since you passed 32 weeks?

During yoga class or while trying to do those deep squats you've read about?

Did the plug fling itself loose during a sneeze or cough?

Are you boring and the type to just drop it conveniently in the toilet?

I figure, if we're going to have to hear about this for the next few weeks, we may as well get some entertainment out of it, right?????

I'm laughing so hard. Waddle of shame is what my friends and I call it when you're shuffling to the bathroom after sex and you're keeping your thighs together trying not to drain all over yourself.

I am boring. With DD1 it came out in pieces and into the toilet. I think it was a week before I went into labor.

Wow, major points for your husband! If I asked my husband to remove something from my panty liner he would think I lost my mind. He would do it, no doubt, but he would be disgusted and would never speak of it again.

ETA: he's fully aware of the mess labor entails and I assure you he's glad it's someone else's job to clean it up.

Never saw it with my first.

But... I lost my whole plug in one bang IN my pee sample at 38 weeks. And they were monitoring me for pre-e so I couldn't dump the sample so I had to leave it in the sample box for the nurses to look at!

I lost mine a few weeks back. I was getting out of the car in the morning at SO's work and felt something trickle down my thigh.

So I did the waddle of shame to the bathroom in front of all his male co-workers and father (family business).

I didn't really get embarrassed. More like wtf going on now?!. Either way, I'm sure they all thought prego had to go pee really bad.

I don't remember loosing it with DS.

I haven't seen it so far with this LO.

When i was pregnant with DS i was on a different forum and read a thread by someone who lost their mucous plug. It fell on the floor and she stepped in it which is the only reason she knew was because she stepped in it. Those are the kinds of stories you just never forget.

@lappyfoinker‌ your H is awesome! Mine would never do that, even though he watched the entire delivery of DS afterwards he wouldn't talk about it.

I never noticed losing mine the first time, but my water broke at home. Can your water break if you haven't lost it?

This time around I just have a large increase of thick goop coming out, but its white/clear like CM.

With DD I lost it when my water broke. I was in the guest bedroom and stood up and waddled as fast as I could to the bathroom. Haven't lost it yet this time.

With my first, I had started having some contractions, but we were going out to dinner for my birthday. When I went to pee, I felt something hanging out as I was wiping. It was like 5 inches long & slimy, and it just kept coming. SO GROSS. This time I'm hoping that I just lose it all at once or when my water breaks or something!

I think I may have lost mine (or part of it) but I'm not sure. I'm a FTM, and when I went to pee there was a glob on the toilet paper, but it wasn't as big as I thought, but honestly, I don't know what I am looking for. Fun stuff...constantly wondering what is or might be coming out of your vag. I swear, I am 35 years old and have tons of friends/family with kids and no one ever told me some of the stuff I had to look forward to! LOL

I was looking forward to having "the talk" with a close friend of mine. She had a premie (who is doing awesome) and missed out on this stuff though.

38 weeks 1 week and 6 days to go. I lost mines Sunday at church and when I went to the restroom I thought I had gave birth to a alien. It was so big and creamy looking. >-)

I lost mine a little bit at a time. It wasn't bloody, it just stood out because it was a little more yellow than normal. Otherwise I would have passed it if as discharge. Lost much larger pieces when my contractions really ranked up. So started losing sat night, list the rest Sunday night and had baby Monday at 3:30 am. This we my second. Never saw the plug with my first baby.

I lost mine at 37 weeks even, sometime during the night. When I woke in the morning and went to the restroom, I felt something cold and wet dangling against my inner thigh. It was the plug complete with bloody show.

I was not expecting it at all.

I lost pieces of mine the morning before my water broke.
