We are probably due from things I've seen on other threads.
I'll go first. One of my very closest and normally tactful friends said to me yesterday:
"Are you serious. You're having more?" "Can you carry twins for me?" "Damn 18 kids and counting" "Aren't you worried your shit will fall to the floor" etc etc
All direct quotes.
She's 40, never married, no kids, laments both. She admits she spent too much time on losers and feels that ship has sailed. I don't want to be mean or obvious and assume it's jealousy but geez. I'm so hurt.
Your turn.

She was shocked into silence. Don't think she'll be asking any questions like that again! Oops! Haha
I responded with, "uhm we married because Jesse's (DH) dad was DYING and that was his LAST wish being he's is only son. We married in the hospital, bedside, in May. We didn't know we were pregnant until June."
She says, "oh I didn't know".
"Obviously, he passed 4 days later."
She walked away. Dumb broad.

When I called my dad to tell him (both my parents live in a different state) he said "What a whore. You couldn't keep your legs closed long enough to finish college first?" Also my first pregnancy.
When I was at work a customer said "I'd still do you. Fat and all."
When I went to visit my mom for our birthdays we went to an IHOP for breakfast and they had some lady going around blowing up balloon animals. She came to our table and made me a hat that said 'happy 20th birthday' and then asked if baby was planned or an oops. She said either way that would suck to have a baby at only 20 and she was glad it wasn't her.
Yeah that went over real well on here. I don't know if you can search and find it but it created quite a stir!
Edited bc words are hard sometimes.
When we told our family, my brother's response was, "you know you can have that 'taken care of', right?"
I mean, this one was a big whoops, and really inconvenient for us... but by no means is that grounds for termination. (I've mentioned before - my brother is an emotionless robot, and I'm not even exaggerating)
I also had a friend (warning me that it was a harsh question) ask me if I was keeping it.
Holy moly. Two accidental pregnancies isn't the sky falling!
Monster Truck (It's a GIRL!) is due 19/02/2015!

With DS, I had been laid off during the financial industry crisis around '08. I was doing pre-reqs for a career change, and we were actively TTC. Given my degrees and prior work history, I kept hearing "you're overqualified." I finally got a cashier job making $8.50/hr at Target. Worked until 38wks.
While checking out a customer, I overheard the mom telling her teen daughter the importance of staying in school, getting a good education and waiting so she wouldn't end up pg and working as a cashier. I looked at her saying "While that's good advice, you never know what life will throw at you. I actually have a bachelors AND a masters, worked at a major company managing a $5MM budget, traveling all over the country making almost 6 figures at 27. The economy is bad right now, and my job was eliminated. My DH and I aggressively saved so we're doing fine on his salary. Jobs are scarce, this was a huge paycut, but it's still providing an income." She paid and left.
Seriously?! I didn't realize cashier was such a horrible job or "beneath" somebody. Argh.
That's horrible!! I'm so glad you said something
That's horrible! If you have a 3rd or 4th degree tear it will split you open, but that is pretty rare. It isn't as if it stays that way though. The only girl I know who had this problem delivered a huge baby at 42 weeks. My dr wouldn't even let me go that late.

OMG @thegoodpotato - how are you not strangling these people with your bare hands?!!
My DS was a surprise to say the least. My sister asked me when he was born "so what, are you pro life now?" I said "Nope. Still pro choice. I just made the choice that was right for me and want others to be able to do the same." Twat.
