I personally won't buy anything until the first tri is over at least. I've heard too many horror stories of women with boxes of items that only remind of a lost baby.
I bought our travel system when I was 7 weeks pregnant last time. I was so scared to order it, but it was an amazing deal and I knew I could return it if I needed to. I would say do it!
I'm not the one having issues not buying, I'm having to keep him from buying! Lol this is our first child together but I have had one mmc and two cps, so I know the risks but he is so excited he wants to start buying stuff now! Lol
I probably wouldn't. With my last pregnancy we heard the heartbeat at 6 weeks then when we went in at 10 weeks I had miscarried and didn't know it, so I'm a little squeamish about it. I hadn't bought anything yet, just saved items to wish lists on various sites, then later when I came across them again it was incredibly difficult to see. But to some folks it may not be as big of a deal to just box it up and return it, I think it's just your comfort level!
I bought a few things the first time and after I miscarried I put everything including my pregnancy book and baby name book into a wooden chest. I found a precious blanket the other day at TJ Maxx for $8 and I just put it in the chest when I got home. I took the pregnancy book out to read but I still haven't had the courage yet to take the rest out. Once I get further along I'll take everything out.
And if I miscarry again it's already hidden.

@mayfateleadyou I am having the same problem. My husband has already picked the crib and dresser he wants and wants to go buy them just in case they sell out (it's at Costco and they don't always carry furniture).

This i wouldn't do just yet. I have a hard time believing you won't find a similar crib and dresser elsewhere. They all look the same these days.
