Pregnant after 35

7 weeks and feeling rubbish

Hi this is my first post on here.. I'm 38 and 7 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child.. 17 yrs after my first pregnancy..
I am feeling generally rubbish..
Sickness like I've never known.. Can't eat anything or even have a cup of tea.. Which in turn makes me faint coz I'm not getting anything proper inside me..
And in between bein sick I'm falling asleep.. Except when I go bed when I'm then wide awake coz my boobs are that sore I can't go sleep..
I dnt remember feelin this bad 17 yrs ago.. It's starting to make me really miserable..

  • Hello @minimum .  Sorry you're feeling so bad.  We all have varying degrees and flavors of crumminess.  (I'm not so bad most days).  Keep experimenting so you can figure out some tricks to get you through the day.  If your MS is really bad, maybe your doc can give you something for it.

Remember what it's all for and that it is temporary!  I hope you feel better soon.

Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. What you are describing is pretty extreme. I would call your doctor and ask for help with the morning sickness. I'm currently willing to manage mine with mint tea, ginger drops, small doses of protein yada yada. But, if I thought I was getting dehydrated or keeping so little down that my blood sugar was badly effected, I'd definitely start the medication.

  • I am sorry you are feeling so rubbish!
Definitely check in with your doctor or midwife, if you arent keeping anything down amd not getting any calories, that is no good for anyone. :-( (((hugs)))
