Birth Control spin off: tubes tied?

I haven't been on birth control for years b/c we've been keeping the baby factory rollin'. I hated hormonal birth control and don't want to go back on it (sex drive below zero and lots of spotting). We are done after this baby. I could probably get my tubes tied as I will probably be having another C-section, but I don't like the idea. I'd rather DH get a vasectomy. We have been extremely fertile and I am concerned about the procedure not always working as well as others and having risk of ectopics. Is this weird? Anyone DONE and have a c-section but not do the tube route? Or, if you did get your tubes tied, have you had any issues??

    We looked into getting a tubal with my last, but my VBAC was successful. The failure rate is very low (less than 1%, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 per 1000) and I believe that's actually slightly better than the success rate for a V. There is a slightly increased likelihood of ectopic pregnancy in the event of a failure, but the chances are still incredibly low. I had no concerns about it and the paperwork was signed and ready to go in the event that my induction turned into a c section.

    I would gladly have had a tubal during my last c-section, but the damn Catholic hospital wouldn't allow it. *shakes fist*

    I had mine tied during my RCS. No issues what do ever. I feel better and safer having my tubes tied vs DH getting snipped.

    I really want my doctor to do that in Dec! I don't think I can convince her of that though.
