My mom guilt is already kicking in big time w/ my eating habits lately.

Seems like I have to have something sweet every day!! if it's not oreo's and milk at bedtime (usually 4 cookies) then it's ice cream and things I used to be able to turn down like a morning donut, I find myself indulging in... I've had a donut for breakfast twice this week! Please tell me I'm not the only one and that baby will be fine and not 200 lbs. LOL
Re: eating sweets
Since BFP, I MAKE myself eat at least one fruit or veggie a day, but this is a lot for me. For example, for lunch I just ate Wendy's (burger, fries and non-caffeinated soda) followed by 2 Reese's peanut butter cups.
I make myself feel somewhat better in the fact that I do exercise at least 2-3 times a week and am pretty active. I'm going to need to pretend to eat some veggies once this kid is old enough to observe our dinnertime habits.
Hoping others will respond to make us both feel not so guilty, but you are definitely not alone!
I am right there with you. Before pregnancy, a sweet treat was a rare occurance for me. I just didn't care for cookies and ice cream. If I had a snack, it was salty. Chips, or popcorn. Now, I cannot make it through the day without cookies, donuts or a candy bar. Its terrible.
No wonder I have stretch marks on my ass........I just had Fiber One brownie. Sweet tooth, plus fiber.....I am trying I guess.
I can't say you won't be 200 pounds though......I am right there with you. Hoping everything will turn out just fine!

N14 November Siggy Challenge - Celebration
I've actually noticed that I have been wanting sweets more often. I wouldn't necessarily call it a craving, but I have been eating them more than I had been.
The doctor told me to lay off the cookies as I had gained 6-7 pounds in about 5 weeks though, so I have been trying to refrain from eating ALL THE COOKIES.
Before my BFP I was a very healthy eater, I actually tracked all my calories and exercise through an app on my phone. Since getting KU I've definitely NOT been tracking and been maybe a bit too lenient on myself.
I craved sweets like crazy with DS! I had a baked good every day (often more than one). As long as you're eating healthy overall, your weight gain is not out of control, and you don't have GD, indulge!
After 23 weeks of nausea, I"m not getting my sweet tooth back, and it's hard!
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I guess we will all be finding out soon if we can continue indulging or not, LOL. I was 5'4 150 lbs when I got pregnant... and I've gained about 20 lbs at 22 weeks.
So a little higher than recommended. Hopefully no GD though! I do tend to eat pretty balanced on my meals, so at least baby is getting nutrition and not straight sugar but some days more than others I feel like she's probably thinking, OH NO! NOT MORE SUGAR!
N14 November Siggy Challenge - Celebration
I started carrying applesauce cups with me along with other healthier snacks, so when I'm tempted, I eat those first. It doesn't work all the time, but I figure every unhealthy thing I avoid eating now is good. Less crap going into the baby and the less fat I will have to deal with later.
I just know I will kick myself later if I let myself indulge in everything now. I keep thinking of this woman who told me at my wedding that I was at the thinnest I'd ever be again. I was offended at the time since I weighed 10 pounds more than I had previously an was on track to get back down there, but so far she was right. I gained ten pounds after my wedding, then got pregnant.
I was feeling guilty about having a blueberry muffin every morning after breakfast.
I also have ice cream or froyo about 2-3 times a week at night.
I try to stick in healthy meals to counter the sweets but I've been failing at that as well...just had a steak quesadilla with guac and sour cream!
I will say I think we'll be fine and our babies will not be 200 lbs!!

**Follow your heart, but take your brain with you**
I ate Twizzlers for breakfast, though, and recognize that's probably not so much normal.

Serves 2
Put 2 bananas in the blender
Add 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa (I use Godiva)
Add a swirl or two of honey
Blend
After about 2 min of blending, stop and add about 3-4 handfuls of ice. Blend again until all of the ice is gone and drink is COLD.
Voila! A lowfat and healthy milkshake!!
