How did we all do this past week? How many times did you workout and did you guys have any issues doing so? How has your eating and drinking water been?
I worked out 4x this past week. I re-started P90x3 and added in pre-natal yoga. I haven't worked out with as much intensity and struggled through some of my workouts. Next week will be hard for me as it marks my 6th week of pregnancy and I have always started bleeding between 6-8 weeks. It's messing with my mind.
My eating hasn't been good AT ALL. I have to get my rear in gear quick! My water consumption has been pretty darn good though!
I have done been walking 4 miles (2 walks around my neighborhood) almost everyday. Wednesday and yesterday I only did one 2 mile walk each day,but I am okay with that. I didn't do any strength training or swimming this week. Honestly, I'm really scared about it. I don't want to hurt the baby. I know I'm being crazy, but I don't know how to talk myself into doing it!
Since last Friday when I found out I was pregnant, I have had SOO much water everyday! I drink anywhere from 100-150oz of water. I carry around a 64oz bottle. Yesterday I drank 2 of them completely and then part of a third. I'm proud of myself with that. I also have been eating really well. Currently, I'm eating better than I did before I found out I was pregnant. Let's see what happens when cravings kick in.
I worked out 4x this week (which is all I ever do) Monday I did legs, Tuesday- insanity asylum, Wednesday-t25, and Thursday- shoulders and abs. I was hard doing the cardio because all the jumping around made my boobs hurt. Eating and water consumption is the same
I've been so nauseous. I did a few walks and then a slooooooow bike ride at gym but left me feeling exhausted and more nauseous. Ugh - I figure I'll keep at least doing something so when my nausea subsides I'm not totally out of shape. Water is the one thing that makes me feel better so that helps.
Not great this week. It rained Mon-Wed, and I don't generally have any motivation to exercise indoors. I did go rock climbing at the rock gym Wed, and I'm heading out shortly to take a hike with the pup.
I know that exercising with pregnant is good and perfectly safe, but what are people's thoughts on those obstacle course/mud races? I'm registered to do the LoziLu next Saturday. I'm NOT a runner, although otherwise I'm in really good shape, but more than a minute or so of running winds me. I still should be ok, right? I know I'm overthinking it...
I went to one Bikram class last week, and I'm going to another this afternoon. It's so hard during the week because the only time I can go is 8pm and by 8pm I am exhausted and there's no way I can work out for 90 minutes at that point. But I've been going at least once on the weekends and I'm going today since I have off work.
Eating wise has been good. My main challenge is making sure I eat three meals a day, and I've done that almost every day this week. I haven't eaten any total junk, I've cut back my soda drinking. I would like to try to eat more veggies, but overall I'm just happy with eating reasonable portions every day. No weight gain yet.
@createmagic14 honestly, I wouldn't push it. If you get winded running a minute or so, those type of obstacle courses will be hard for you. If you do it, take it easy. The bouncing and such shouldn't be a problem but be careful about pushing yourself to do things you aren't accustomed to so you don't injure yourself.
I'm not allowed to exercise right now, per my RE. I can walk though. Before my IVF, I worked out a couple days a week with a trainer, doing a combo of strength training and cardio. My trainer has offered to walk with me. Love her! Has anyone else been told by their RE to hold off on exercising for now?
@heyitsmamac ouch! I hope you are feeling okay after that fall! I hate my late day cravings. They are kicking my butt. Have you tried any of the 21DF splurge recipes? Some of them are Really good! Mixing PB, cinnamon, honey, and Fage is a great fruit dip and is 21DF approved. That could help your cravings too.
I've been really sick all week with this fucking cold/sinus infection. The most I've managed is to walk the dog for about a mile most evenings. If I can ever breathe again I'd like to get in some workouts. I've been eating decently, except maybe a little too much cheese. I have definitely upped my water intake a ton; especially with my throat hurting, it really helps.
@WinningColors my OB put me on pelvic rest a couple weeks ago when I was spotting. Even though the spotting has stopped I'm still scared & taking it easy. My BFF just had success with IVF & her RE said the same as yours.
I managed to go to yoga 3 times this week, but only went walking twice (normally I walk daily). The smoke hasbeen really bad from wwildfires, so I'm stuck indoors.
Been keepin up with it! I'm doing Lee Lebradas 12 week program from bodybuilding.com. I go every day, but the only difference is, I've had to decrease my weight by a little...and on cardio days I used to run 3 miles for my 30 min...and now I can only manage to run 10 min at a time. But I still get my 30 in! I probably should be drinking more water
14 mile bike ride, 20 min run, power yoga x2, and 2+ mile walks x2. Currently on my lunch break, taking a 20 min walk on the trail behind the office. Can't wait to bike again tonight or tomorrow -- we were on vacation half the week so I didn't get as much intense cardio as I'd have liked!
I've been limiting myself to 0-1 desserts/day (usually I thrive on sweets) & eating more veggies. I've been soooo hungry though!! It's really hard not to gorge myself at meals.
I've worked out about 4 times this week, so not horrible. It's been hard to find time with DS's napping schedule going to hell and my brother in visiting from Thailand. Hopefully things will get back on track this weekend and I'll be able to do better - I always feel gross on the days I don't get to work out. Boo.
You bunch of overachievers I've made it to some evening walks with a dog or two and some slow prenatal stretches. Hoping the ick feeling is gone next week so I can do my gym work outs again.
I walked 5 miles a day monday-thursday then I went to gym monday, tuesday, thursday, and today. Did elliptical and some light weights. I am good at working out on treadmill or elliptical but horrible at weights. I am eating ok. Just not enough water

first off... this week and last was a total FAIL! Nausea and exhaustion has reared it's full blown ugly head. I was out of town back and forth on business trips and didn't even care to look for the gym facility at the hotel. I vegged out on room order service at the end of a very busy day... next week will be better.
Awesome job ladies! This trimester is always hard between the exhaustion and nausea. The fact that we are continuing to work out and try to eat healthy despite all of it is great!
Did my usual routine of gym and walking but 1) I am so tired I yawn through the whole thing, and 2) drinking all this extra water is really hard on my already demolished bladder during HIIT. It's the worst thing ever to be like, this is awesome...wait, I'm peeing my pants now.
I felt like it was just recovered from having my son and now I'm back at square one. Please tell me i'll have a normal bladder someday.
I went to one Bikram class last week, and I'm going to another this afternoon.
Please talk to your OB, I would be very concerned about you doing Bikram in a 100-103 degrees sauna. We're supposed to avoid anything that would raise your core body temp too much.
I'm inspired by you guys! I've been green to the gills all day every day so I haven't been to the gym Hoping over the weekend and next week I'll feel good enough to get back in the saddle. Will be doing a combination of water aerobics, yoga, walking, and kettlebells.

My water intake has been good. I have about 4 liters of water per day, I think!
Planning to grab some dvd's to be able to do yoga at home. I also still want to get the piyo workout!
