It doesn't get me often lately, but I have been attacked with the cooking bug today. I want to cook all the things!! Sullivan and I are going to the grocery store shortly and then I am going to make homemade jalapeño corn hummus and attempt BBQ cheddar chickpea veggie burgers before work tonight. Yum!
What's on the menu for y'all? (Please don't exclude your yummy takeout options, tired mamas)
Re: What's cooking, ladies?
Eta: omg. Grilled PORK.
Husband is gone at training for the Army so I never cook when it's just me. Turkey wraps and turkey for dinner... Every night... Yum...

Tonight is BBQ ribs and corn and a couple salads I picked up at the deli
T - pb & j (DH was out of town!)
W - boca burgers and salad
Today - Italian sausage with onions and peppers and French onion potatoes
F - pizza!
T - breaded chucked cutlets and angel hair pasta
W- fried grouper nuggets with arugula and cucumber salad
T - turkey burgers with tempura onion rings
F - grilled tuna steaks and Asian slaw
S - out
S - baked honey curried chicken with rice and sautéed peppers
Combine 6 oz tomato paste, 8 oz tomato sauce, 1 cup beef broth, 1 tbs olive oil, 1 tsp cumin, 6 cloves of garlic (chopped), 1 large onion (sliced) and 3 green peppers (sliced) in slow cooker.
Season 1 lb of flank steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder and cumin (we really like cumin and garlic over here)
Heat 1 tbs veg. oil on high and brown both sides of flank steak.
Throw steak into slow cooker and set on high for four hours. Shred and enjoy with rice, beans and fried plantains! This is my idea of comfort food
