I'm so exhausted. And I know I will be this exhausted for a while. It's so depressing. I'm so goddamn tired. And my sister is a bitch and I need her trip to be over.
Tonight has been a looooong night. The boy's were jointly up all night. Usually this would mean while Kellan was asleep i could sleep and while Connor was SH would, but I was hyper sensitive to both of them last night. Add in a screaming fit this morning and this mama is ready for some sleep!
@ktcort13 that made all the difference in the world for us. He now consistently gives us 5/6 hour stretches. We do bath, lotion/massage and feeding. After bf him we top him off with a pumped bottle of an ounce. Then I swaddle him really tight and sing the same song to him ever night while I rock him and he's out.
Tonight might be good or it might be terrible. I have to pump the oposite side she eats on every time she eats so I can make her a bottle of mixed bm and rice cereal for her reflux. Also I need to pump to make a stash for when I go back to work. I'm tired and she is also going threw a growth spurt so she has been eating about every hour or less.
I'm so disgusted with DH I feel like I'm going throw up. Bennett is having his longest stretch of sleep ever and I haven't sleep during any of it because he's being such a prick.
After two nights of long stretches, we are back to the short ones. Sigh.
It's ok I'll be here all night as well. One day they will be big and we get any sleep then either. Up with worry or because they decide they need to be in our beds kicking us in their sleep. *hugs*
Joining you ladies tonight! DD has had a long MOTN routine tonight involving two blowout diapers, she sucked down the bottle of breast milk I gave her so fast I had to make a bottle of formula afterwards, and now I'm up pumping while she fusses for DH. Sigh.
My bed is calling my name but E decides now is a perfect time to play. He slept almost 6 hours so I should be happy but we've got an incredibly long day tomorrow. I'd love for him to settle down so I can get a few hrs of sleep before alarm goes off at 5:30. Only during mr shift does he do this. Good thing he's so cute
well it's 2:45 here and H (he damn sure doesn't get a D right now) still isn't home, his phone is dead, and I have no idea where he is. B had his longest stretch of sleep ever (5 hours yay!) only I didn't sleep during any of it because I'm so worried/anxious/livid right now
LO has been sleeping for an hour because I can't stop thinking about his appointment to get his frenulum clipped on Tuesday. It's really tight and curls his tongue in, so I brought it up at his 2 month well child. She said it's pretty tight and we both aren't sure how it wasn't noticed before. Probably because most babies with frenulum issues have eating issues? LO was 13 pounds at his 2 month so clearly no issue there, but she said it will cause issues with speech. I almost wish LO was awake so i wasn't wasting my time.
I'm sorry you ladies are having rough nights. I'm usually there right there with you. Big hugs.

Totally random question...but how are you bathing your LO? Submersing in a tub or more of a sponge bath in the sink? My LO doesn't love the bath...
@MaddieRosie we are still doing a sponge bath because I haven't figured out what other tub/location to use yet. Neither of our sinks are very big and we have like zero counter space in the kitchen and the bathroom. I think we're going to have to put the tub in our bathtub but our tub is pretty low so I think bathing him that way will be an annoying production. So a "wipe down sponge bath" my remain part of the night time routine regardless of when he gets a "real bath"
PS he doesn't love the bath either but that usually helps make him alert for him feeding
LO woke me up screaming and it was a scream I haven't heard before. He was wiggling, squirming, arching his back, it was the saddest thing ever. I massaged his tummy, changed his diaper.. I'm completely out of gas drops and I'm assuming that's what the problem is so we gave him some gripe water. He ate and is currently sleeping again. We had such a good stretch and now we've been up every two hours again.
@MaddieRosie we fully submerge using a whale tub. It has a removable section for newborns that help her sit up without sliding down. She didn't care for sponge baths but loves kicking around in this tub.
@MaddieRosie yep we have this. I put an extra washcloth on her tummy because that's not usually covered In water so she isn't cold.
Is the tub made by Fischer Price? Thanks for the responses!
I walk in the room from my pumping session to this...it makes MOTN a whole lot easier when I see this cuteness! Although I do not condone the co-sleeping DH but it is ok if it is just for a short time.
I brought a shower chair into the shower, sat down in the hot water and rested my head against the wall, and promptly fell asleep. Luckily I woke up before the hot water ran out. Small victories

Isabel just slept 4 hours straight for me. After the past couple weeks of 2 hour stretches, I'm so grateful! And wishing she'd go back to sleep...
