This weekend my husband and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary by staying in the hotel we got married in for Saturday and Sunday night and recuperating from life with our 3 kids

Sunday night we were watching a movie at the hotel when I started noticing some uncomfortable contractions. They were getting stronger and I started timing them and they were every 3-7min. This went on for an hour or so. I have a history of preterm labor and was just prescribed medicine this week to help contractions if I needed it, so I took it and after 45min they were still going strong!!! We decided to grab a few things and head to hospital.
Got to hospital around 1am, hooked up to monitors and I was really contracting every 3min on the dot!! Some every 2min!! I started to get freaked out after they checked me and said I was 2cm external os and fingertip internal. They started me on an IV and started terbutaline shots hourly at around 2am. By 4:30 I was still continuing to contract and they were really uncomfortable. They gave me my first dose of steriods to help develop her lungs in the event she delivers early and should be getting my second dose at 5am this morning. They gave me a shot of Nubian which finally took away the pain and knocked out the contractions a little. I did have to get a 6th dose of terbutaline in the afternoon yesterday and they started me on procardia 3 times a day for the duration of my pregnancy. Luckily when they rechecked me my cervix stayed the same. Since I'm only 26 weeks and 4 days with a slightly dilated cervix, I'm now on bed rest

So glad the contractions stopped and our baby girl is happy and moving in my belly where she belongs but I am stressed about what this summer is going to be like with our 3 kids. They are extremely helpful but it's going to be hard to have people in my home everyday to help with them while I'm laying on the couch!! Totally not my personality!! Hopefully they will let me go home today (Tuesday) after an ultrasound with perinatologist this afternoon to double check my cervical length. Sorry about the long story, just wanted to update!!!
Come on Oct 18th!!!! Thanks for all the support!!
Re: In the hospital :(
Thinking of you!
Glad your baby is still with you and even though it will be hard to lay around while others help, it is what's best for you and your baby!
T&P's to you and your baby that she stays put.
